And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us, we will not fear, for God hath willed his truth to triumph through us. GOD RENEWS US IN CHRISTCONFESSION OF SIN Zacharias Ursinus’ Palatinate Church Order (1563)

MINISTER: “For the word of the Lord is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom all must give account.”

Hebrews 4:12-13

PEOPLE: I, a poor sinner, confess before you, my God and Creator, that I have sinned gravely and in various ways against you, not only with outward gross sins, but much more with internal, innate blindness, unbelief, doubts, faintheartedness, impatience, pride, evil greed, secret envy, hatred, and jealousy, as well as other evil emotions. You, my Lord and God, recognize this in me very well, but sadly I cannot recognize them sufficiently. I feel sorrow and regret for them and wholeheartedly desire grace through your dear Son Jesus Christ.

(SILENT CONFESSION)

ASSURANCE OF PARDONMINISTER: “Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, bit one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16

PEOPLE: AMEN!

* HYMN OF THANKSGIVING Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing No. 457

Come, thou Fount of ev'ry blessing, Tune my heart to sing thy grace;Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise,Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above;Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it, mount of God's unchanging love.

Here I raise my Ebenezer; hither by thy help I'm come; And I hope, by thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home.Jesus sought me when a stranger, wand'ring from the fold of God:He, to rescue me from danger, interposed his precious blood.

O to grace how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be;Let that grace now, like a fetter, bind my wand'ring heart to thee.Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love; Here's my heart, O take and seal it, seal it for thy courts above.

GOD INVITES US TO JOYFUL SACRIFICEGIVING OF TITHES AND OFFERINGS

GOD FEEDS US AT HIS BANQUET TABLE

* SONG OF PREPARATION Behold the Lamb Behold the Lamb who bears our sins away slain for us, and we rememberThe promise made that all who come in faith find forgiveness at the crossSo we share in this Bread of Life and we drink of His sacrificeAs a sign of our bonds of peace Around the table of the KingThe body of our Savior Jesus Christ torn for you, eat and rememberThe wounds that heal the death that brings us life paid the price to make us oneSo we share in this Bread of Life and we drink of His sacrificeAs a sign of our bonds of love around the table of the KingThe blood that cleanses every stain of sin shed for you, drink and rememberHe drained death's cup that all may enter in to receive the life of GodSo we share in this Bread of Life and we drink of His sacrificeAs a sign of our bonds of grace around the table of the KingAnd so with thankfulness and faith we rise to respond and to remember

Our call to follow in the steps of Christ as His body here on earthAs we share in His suffering we proclaim Christ will come againAnd we'll join in the feast of heaven around the table of the King

1) Have you been baptized into the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, either as an infant or adult?

2) Have you publicly professed your faith in Christ and embraced the Christian faith as summarized in the Apostles’ Creed?

3) Are you presently a member in good standing of a Bible-believing church? If you can affirm these questions sincerely, the elders welcome you to the Lord’s Table!

THE NURSERY & TRAINING ROOM – Our nursery is located in the first room on the right down the hallway.  We do not currently have volunteers working in the nursery, but if you need a place to change a diaper, nurse, or calm fussy infant, you are welcome to use the nursery room. The training room is located in the back of the sanctuary. If your little ones are becoming fussy, but you still want to participate in worship, this room was designed for you.

SERMON NOTES“You are required to believe and teach everything the Bible teaches. Not what you might want it to teach and not only the teachings you like best, but everything the Bible teaches.” R.C. Sproul
