Photoshop (Character)

In this lesson our main goal was to create a simple character whose movements could be

altered by our movements.

In this lesson who used Photoshop and created a very simple character using the shape tools such as circle and rectangle.

When first creating my character I created a few mistakes and changed it multiple times. I changed features such as the eye design and colour. When I first created my character I made the eyes like this but used circles then if you look at the image below I changed the inner shape of a circle into a rectangle. And included a smaller circle inside of it so that when I try to create movement it looks like the eyes have more movement.

Instead of restarting the whole making and placing shape process when I made a mistake I instead just used the properties bar to adjust the shape of the shape.

I had to name each layer I included so that later it would be a lot easier to differentiate the different features’ then made even more in depth groups for each of my features. Example mouth, right eye and left eye etc. These sub sections meant that I could have very specific movement changes.

When trying to practice this on character animation software we could not but this is the final cartoon I created.
