My Favorite Sports Person – Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar is a former Indian Cricketer and former captain of the Indian Cricket Team. He was born on 24th April, 1973 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Tendulkar made his test debut when he was just 16 years old. He played for India at the International level for close to 24 years. He is the only cricketer to have scored one hundred international. He is the holder of the record for the greatest number of runs in both One Day International and Test Cricket. He has numerous records to his name and was part of the Indian Cricket Team that won the World Cup in the year 2011. He is also the youngest person and the first sportsman to be conferred the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor. He retired from International Cricket in the year 2013.
