Scottish Book Trust Schools Event with Joseph Coelho Dear Parent/Guardian, Your child has been invited to attend a talk with amazing poet Joseph Coelho during school hours on Thursday 22 February. Joseph is a performance poet and playwright who is "a fresh new voice in children’s poetry". He works tirelessly to dispel the view that poetry is "boring" with his fun and exciting poetry. Joseph addresses challenging topics including loneliness and bullying and in this interactive event, he will help your pupil to engage with different poetic forms and devices including personification, metaphor, simile and alliteration. His aim is to remove the mystery around poetry and make it as fun and exciting as possible! Book Sales and Signing Following the event Joseph will sign copies of his books. If your child already owns copies please get them to bring them along to be signed.
