Follow this patter if your child struggles to remember what they are writing: First think of what you are going to write, then say it 3 times out loud, then write it and finally read it back (make sure you have clear spaces between words, and you use full stops and capital letters

correctly).

*Remember neat writing, correct formation of letters and correct spellings are important too!

If you found one of the questions challenging why not try and do the same question using different numbers to help practise the concept:

1. Make your own number line with missing numbers. 2. Try 1 more and 1 less with larger numbers too.3. Make up your own add and take away questions.

Try a Joe Wicks workout every day or do the one below and repeat the number of times you do it each day. Can you do this 3 times with an adult?

Everyday:1. Put the letters into order into an arc shape. 2. Practise saying the sound and the name of each one.3. Choose 3 letters to make a word and practise reading it, e.g. cat, cap, pin, mug, etc. Do

this 10 times.4. Write the words down and ensure your writing is neat with letters formed correctly.5. If you are good at 3 letter words, try 4 letter words, e.g. went, jump, clap, shop, stay

(notice some sounds are special friends, e.g. sh, ay) Do this 10 times6. Write the words down and ensure your writing is neat with letter formed correctly
