10 November 2017 Dear Parent, Sixth Form: Screening of ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ at The Barbican Cinema The English Department has arranged a cinema trip for Sixth-Form students to see the Naonal Theatre Live Screening of ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ at The Barbican Cinema on Thursday 22 nd February 2018. It is an evening showing which will begin at 7:00pm and conclude at approximately 10:00pm. It is an excing opportunity to see one of Williams’ greatest plays and provides many useful contextual and comparave links to boys’ study of A Streetcar Named Desire . Only 22 ckets have been reserved for the school , and are £22 each. Sixth-formers that are studying A Streetcar Named Desire at A-level are expected to aend; any remaining ckets will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. The boys will be expected to make their own way to the cinema and home aſter the performance. I am pleased to say that school trips will now be booked and paid for online via WisePay, which can be accessed from the Parent Portal. To access WisePay, please logon to the Parent Portal, click on the ‘Online Shop’ le. If you are a school bill payer you will have a WisePay account already setup, click on the ‘School bill payers click here to Access WisePay’ banner, then on the next screen scroll to the boom and click on ‘Click here to connue to WisePay’. This will take you to the WisePay portal, click on the ‘Trip and Visit Payment’ le, you will then be able to find trips which you can book and pay for. If you are not a school bill payer, please click on ‘Non-school bill payers, click here to access WisePay’. You can then either create an account, or enter login details if you already have one set up to access the WisePay portal. If the trip sells out, please send an email to Miss Green ( ejg@cityoflondonschool.org.uk ) requesng to be placed on a reserve list. I give permission for my son to take part in the ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ trip.I have submitted funds via Wisepay on the parent portal to the amount of £22.00 as full payment for this visit.

My signature below signals agreement to the following statements. (You may also supply additional information in the box below, e.g. dietary requirements.)

O The medical information which I have supplied to the school nurse is accurate and up to date and the teachers leading the trip may take a copy of this information with them / I have supplied new medical details in the box below.

O I agree to my son receiving medication (paracetamol, ibuprofen, non-drowsy allergy relief medication and plasters) and any emergency dental, medical or surgical treatment, including blood transfusion or, anaesthetic as considered necessary by the medical authorities present.

O I acknowledge the need for responsible behaviour on the part of my son at all times during the visit. I understand that in the event of any gross misbehaviour or misconduct my son may be sent home and any costs so incurred will be at my expense. The decision of the teacher in charge of the party will be final.

O I acknowledge that my son will travel to and from the venue accompanied by a teacher and that he will make his own way home from school.

O I have read and agree to the School’s Code of Conduct for trips and visits. I am also satisfied with the School’s insurance policy. (Both are on the School website on the page marked “Policies”).
