Taranaki Branch Ulysses meeting Wednesday 16 Oct 2019

Meeting started 6pm

Matters arising: Blair had the poster to send to the Ulyssian for our Rally next year. After discussion and one small change it will be sent to be in from now on until the rally.

Presidents report: Suzie discussed her trip to the Lower Hutt to the Co- Ordinator’s meeting. It was moved by Harry and seconded Graeme for the club to pay the cost of $186.

Financial report: Moved be accepted Harry, seconded Andrew.

Rides: September monthly ride was around the mountain. We had 12 do the Gold ride forever course which was a good turnout. There are 11 members set to go on our overnighter to Castlepoint on 19-20 Oct.

It was discussed about a ‘pie and pint’ evening during the summer months and Graeme said he would try to organise something starting in December.

We discussed how the club rides should go and most felt everyone should go at the pace they’re comfortable with. There will be a tail end Charlie on these rides so if you are slower than some you won’t be left behind. There will be regular stops and, if changing roads, the leader will stop and wait till everyone has caught up.

Rally: Blair will have the information in Ulyssian mag from now on. There were a few more offering to help with the special committee.

November ride on the 17th to be organised by Alan and Bill.

General: There is going to be a BBQ each month for members through the summer.

Blair, with help from Graeme, are going to take over the Facebook page from Gemma.

There was a good turn out from members for dinner at the club after the meeting.
