Introduction

The Azure Starter Pack helps your businesses get started on the cloud by extending and connecting their on-premises Active Directory to Azure. This allows businesses to unify the identities of their users so that they can take the next step in centralizing the authentication and authorization process across applications and devices.

ASP is the essential product for any company wanting to balance their on-prem installations, moving to Cloud, moving to the flexibility and cost savings represented by the IaaS systems. If you want to start using infrastructure in Cloud ... you need ASP

Azure Starter Pack Starter Guide summarizes features and functions of which enables Customers to start using Azure Starter Pack.



1. Reseller Journey

Please make sure you have an active Microsoft Azure subscription from Ingram Micro Cloud prior to purchasing this solution. If you do not have an Azure subscription, please check Appendix A – Azure subscription

Step 1 - Login to the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace

Step 2 - Click on CLOUD SERVICES

Step 3 - Click on Infrastructure option

Step 4 - Select Microsoft Azure Starter Pack



Step 5 – Click on Buy Now

Step 6 - You will be now redirect to UX1 CMP store where you will be able to select from 2 different ASP offers (Basic or Pro). Select the offer you want by clicking ADD TO CART

Azure Starter Pack Basic <= 50000 AD objects

Azure Starter Pack Pro 50.000 to 100.000 objects

For more than 100.000 a MS SQL Professional database would be required



After adding a plan to your cart, it will show up as $0 in the next step because the pay-as-you-go Cloud Infrastructure consumption starts at $0. You can check the estimated cost in Apendix B - Azure Starter Pack

Step 7 - Now go to the top part of the page and click in the Cart Icon

Step 8 - This will take you to the place order page click NEXT

Step 9 - Select the customer you want to place the order to and click NEXT (or create a new one - Add New Customer)



Step 10 - Now you need to fill out the addicional parameters in order to complete your order: Azure region, Domain name, Domain User, Domain Passord, IP of active DNS server, IP secondary DNS server, VPN on premises gateway IP, VPN: On-premise CIDR, VPN: Pre-shared key and Azure Cloud Private Network CIDR

a. Azure Regioni. Please select beteween East US/North Europe/Australia Eastb. Domain Name - The name of the AD domain on premise, e.g. addemo.onpremise.comc. Domain User - An admin user on the on premise AD domain, e.g. adminuserd. Domain Password - Password of the Domain User, e.g. superSecret%1e. IP of Active Directory DNS server -In a typical Active Directory installation on-premise,

this will be the IP of one of your domain's Active Directory servers. Make sure it is included in the On-premise CIDR, e.g.192.168.0.4

f. Secondary DNS Server IP - leave empty, or e.g. 8.8.8.8g. VPN: On-premise Gateway IP - public IP address of your on premise VPN gateway, e.g.

9.9.9.9h. VPN: On-premise CIDR - CIDR range of your on-premise network that includes the IP of

the Active Directory server. Example: 192.168.0.0/24i. VPN: Pre-shared key - the pre-shared key of the VPN, e.g. Super1Secret2PSK3j. Azure Cloud Private Network CIDR - The CIDR of the cloud network to create, should

not overlap with the On-premise CIDR, e.g. 10.0.0.0/24

Step 11 - You can click on BUY

2 – End Customer Journey

As the result of the last action inside the Reseller Journey an email will be sent to the End User.

Step 1 - An email is sent directly to the End User to complete the additional details in the Activation Form



Step 2 - In the Activation Form the customer will be asked to fill the following information:

Cloud provider credentialsPlease if this is your first order select new credentials and enter the following information of your Azure account:

Tenant ID Subscription ID App ID Secret

If this is not your first order you can select Re-use existing credentials

Click SUBMIT

Step 3 – End Customer goes to Customer Control Panel and now he needs to configure the on-premise VPN

Step 4 – End Customer connects with the AD Connect server at rdp://full%20address=s: using the following local user: Local admin user - password

Step 5 – End Customer restarts the AD Connect server and log in as domain admin user. Launch the AD Connect installer.
