Open sessions with Touchdown Dance at St. Vincent’s School. Dear Parent/Carer Touchdown Dance is a Manchester based company specialised in dance and movement education with visually impaired and sighted children. We have been working in mainstream and specialist schools for over 20 years as well as with the RNIB, Henshaws and LOOK UK. We have a BBC Children in Need grant and we are offering an open session for visually and sensory impaired children and young people up to 18 years old in an accessible space. It is a session offering movement education and skills appropriate to dance and sport. The work is based in developmental movement, which aids and supports spatial awareness, mobility, confidence and self-expression. Katy and Paula are well established artists, Katy is Dance- Movement Psychotherapist, artistic director and martial artist, Paula is artist based at the Blue Coat who teaches makes performance work in community and education settings. Time – 2.15 – 3.15 and afterschool from 3.30 to 4.30, weekly starting November 6 th 2019 and running till end of March 2021. Ring the bell at the main door and you will be shown where to go.
