We are learning to – Use adjectives (describing words) in fictional pieces of writing. What I’m looking for – Five diary entries for each day this week exploring adjectives. This is because – Using adjectives adds detail to our writing and makes our work more interesting to read. Good morning class! Please view Youtube instructions from me here; https://youtu.be/hF6XnXiPsqU This morning I finally finished building my teleporter, which is lucky because I’ve been getting really bored sitting at home during this self isolation period. This week I’ve visited heaps of amazing places and you can too! Keep reading and I’ll let you have a turn of my teleporter. Date: 27/04/2020 Dear diary, What happened: I teleported underwater! Oh no! I wasn’t prepared for this. I was wearing winter clothes and shoes that instantly got all wet and soggy. The weight of my clothes pulled me underwater and I was worried I was going to drown. Luckily I’m a good swimmer and managed to get to the surface for air in time. Where do I think I am?: I think I’m in the water near Queensland. Where am I actually? I’m actually near Hawaii! Adjectives to describe my surroundings: Colourful, majestic, beautiful. Date: 28/04/2020 Dear diary, What happened: Today I teleported into a street. I was in the middle of the road and almost got hit by a small red car! This teleporting business is dangerous. At least this time I’m dry though. Looking around I noticed that colourful lanterns hung above the road, all different shapes. There aren’t many people on this street, it’s a bit quiet. Where do I think I am?: I think I’m in Asia somewhere, maybe Singapore. Where am I actually? I’m actually in the Philippines this time, close! Adjectives to describe my surroundings: Tidy, festive, organised.
