Adult Hand Warmers
Thank you for purchasing this pattern. It is aimed at beginners who would like to tackle their first pattern and includes instructions on how to work
the stitches
Materials:
50g dk yarn in MC and 25g in CC125g in CC24mm crochet hookYarn sewing needle
Abbreviations ch – chain stitch tr – treble stitchdc – double crochetst-stitchsc- single crochet
To Make (Make 2):
Foundation: Using MC Make 28ch
Row 1 – 3ch, miss 3ch, work 1tr into each ch st along the row (28sts)
Change to CC1
Row 2 - turn, 1ch, miss 1st dc work 1dc in to each st to end (28sts)
Row 3 - turn 3ch, miss 3ch, work 1tr per st to end (28sts)
Row 4 - as row 2
These 4 rows set the pattern. Repeat the pattern until work measures 9ins (23cm) or stretches comfortable around your hand.

Top and Bottom Edging
Join in CC1 and work 1 dc per st along top edge and fasten off.
Repeat along bottom edge
Making Up
Joining the side seams
You will work the edging so it can be seen on the outside of the arm warmer
Step 1 - With wrong sides facing, rejoin MC.
Step 2 - Working through both the foundation row and edge stitches of the hand warmer work 1dc per stitch from the top edge for 2 ins (5cm).
Break off yarn. Leave a 3in (7.5cm) gap for your thumb then rejoin MC. Continue as in step 2 , to bottom edge.
Fasten Off
Thumb Edging
Join in MC at any point on thumb edge. Work 2dc per st around the opening.
Join final st to first st with a sc.
Fasten off.
Weave in all ends.
