We have tried to a give few suggestions so that each one of us can feel part of the family. Once again, as I wrote 2 weeks ago, the Church is a family where everybody is welcome and where we should have the desire to see our church family growing. To do so, I would like to share with you a few points that we have taken in consideration for this coming years proposals. We would like as a parish community to try to be disciples and live the 5 essentials for our Spiritual life. The vision is for these to be central to Pastoral work and care in the Parish. These are: Prayer: Our own personal relationship with the Lord. (Adoration, Mass, Prayer Group, Christian Meditation, Rosary …) Fellowship: Friendships with others and sharing our lives with others. (Cockfoster Sunday lunch; Cabin coffee, Prayer Groups…) Formation: Growing in our faith.(CCS, Net for God movie, retreats…) Service: Various ways. Supporting the sick/elderly/youth/fundraising for charities/welcoming the lonely etc Evangelisation: Sharing who we are with others. Inviting others to join us here, both social and faith based events Those points are a target, we can’t do everything at the same time; but everyone can discern on each point he wants to focus on for this year. The church is alive because Jesus is alive in our lives and as suggested in todays gospel, we should have the desire to spread this good news to others. May the Lord help us to discern where to commit, for this year. Fr. Christophe, ccn.
