It comes down to doing your keyword and market research, making simple changes to your site, geGng some backlinks, and going straight to your target market
Everything else helps, but without the basics, you won’t get far for long

Without proper keyword and market research, it doesn’t maSer how well you opKmize your site for the wrong keywords – you either won’t rank or won’t rank for the keywords that bring you traffic
First, make sure that your market is a viable market with people out there actually talking about it or looking for it
Use Omnileads to see if there are forums or blogs with people talking on it
Use the Main Keyword Tool to see if there’s any worthwhile traffic to any of the keywords

Second, make sure that you target the right keywords with not only enough search volume, but not too compeKKve and for the right kind of “buyer” keywords
Use the Main Keyword tool and check the search volume, compeKKveness (look for Ktle tag matches and if the keyword is in green), etc. and pick the most lucraKve ones
Target the keywords that are more likely to bring in buyers, even if the search volume is less (for instance, difference between “mopeds” and “where to buy mopeds online” – use the “Buyer Keyword Tool” if you want too)
Make sure that you have or make content that matches up with these keywords to provide true value
Simple On Page SEO Tricks
Most important SEO trick is to have the proper keywords in your Ktle tags on each of your pages
Each webpage on your site should target different (but sKll relevant) keywords in their Ktle tags to maximize your results
Put the main keyword you want in your main Ktle tag, but make sure the “copy” makes sense (for instance, “Dog Training Tips” vs. “Dog Training Tips that Take 5 Minutes or Less”) too
If you write arKcles or do blogs, have the Ktle contain your main keyword
Have relevant content on your site containing a variety of the keywords that are relevant and sKll read well
