What did we do?

Improved / upgraded key routes by:

• Widening

• Resurfacing

• Improving permeability (‘missing links’)

• Introducing Advanced Stop Lines (ASL’s) at junctions

• Improving ‘end of journey’ facilities by providing cycle parking facilities

• Introduced Pedal Cycle Parking Places (PCPP’s) on the carriageway.

• Introduced or converted pedestrian-only crossings to toucan crossings

What now?Further investment into cycling infrastructure & sustainable transport promotion, through:

• Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF)

• Continue the cycling infrastructure program

• Continue enhancing the permeability of routes

• Aspirations: Cycle park, ‘Dutch Style’

• Continue promoting cycling as a form of travel
