WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The World Bank earmarked $245 million in credit and grant funding for Myanmar under an 18-month work plan:●Public financial management, to transparently link budgets to development priorities ●Regulatory reform, to provide access to finance for microfinance borrowers and small and medium enterprises●Private sector development, to promote broad-based economic growth and job creation
European Commission chief Jose Manuel Barroso has offered Myanmar more than $100m (£62m; 78m euros) in development aid as he met President Thein Sein.

2. Promoting an enabling economic environment to achieve macroeconomic stability, promote trade and investment, diversify the economy, create jobs, improve financial intermediation, and increase agricultural productivity;
