Your day is unique and so is the Priests House. We only undertake one event on any given day and thus you will have exclusiveuse and our undivided attention throughout. We can accommodate a range of wedding options including;
ü a simple civil ceremony with celebratory drinks and canapés (currently maximum of 50*)ü a superb wedding breakfast of up to 34 people in the houseü a marquee option during August including a wedding breakfast and an evening reception
There are currently limitations however in that only 50 can attend the ceremony, but the marquee can cater for up to 100.
The venue is located in the fabulous Wharfedale valley and has terrific and contrasting photographic opportunities, whether usingthe tower and buildings as historic backdrops, the country views or the dark pine woods. We can introduce you to our localphotographers, who have extensive experience of the venue. The majority of the pictures in this brochure have been taken by DaveCroppers www.davecropper.net. We also can recommend Chris Davison www.4lifephotography.co.uk.
We will set up the venue with your agreed colour scheme, with a choice of table linen, runners, napkins and candles to match andwe also have many other decorations for you to use. We can provide most floral requirements....no one knows the venue quite likeus, stunning displays in the bar and dining areas, button holes and bouquets all to match your chosen colour scheme.
We have a choice of menus to choose from which you can tailor to meet your specific requirements.
Accommodation
Unfortunately, we do not have any accommodation in the house. We can forward an accommodation guide ranging from B&Bs totop hotels in the area. On site we do have a bunk barn that sleeps up to 24 which is available to hire. The barn is proving popularwith many wedding parties as guest accommodation and changing facilities especially for marquee weddings or for holding a quietevening get together afterwards. The Priests House is open almost all year round, and in many respects the winter months are just as special as summer, as thedark evenings recreate a real medieval feel and the real log fires add a romantic warmth complementing the genuine historicalauthenticity of the venue. Ceremonies can be held on any day of the week.
House charges for exclusive use of the house are as follows:ü for a ceremony and wedding breakfast, weekend £550, midweek £450ü for just a ceremony, £700 weekend, £550 midweek (not available on weekends during the peak April - September period)
The house can accommodate up to 50 for a ceremony and 34 for a wedding breakfast. We are sorry but these are the absolutelimits and include children.
We do not specify drinks packages per se but allow you to decide on what you would like. A post ceremony Pimms is verypopular in the summer as is mulled wine in winter at £4.95 per glass. Prosecco starts at £26 per bottle and champagne at £40per bottle. Bottles of house wine are £16.95 per bottle.
Winter OfferNovember to February - complimentary post ceremony drink (Bucks Fizz, Pimms or mulled wine) for wedding breakfasts of morethan 10 people.
RegistrarThe Priests House has a civil wedding licence and thus any ceremony cannot have any religious connotations. Havingprovisionally agreed a date and time for the ceremony with us, you must contact the Superintendent Registrar direct to ensurehe/she is able to attend. This can be done up to 12 months in advance. You should also discuss how you wish to personalisethe ceremony.

..a fabulous marquee wedding..A marquee wedding at the Priests House will be a day to remember. Clearly we cannot guarantee the weather, but we will tryto make everything else as you would expect. During August we use a 18m by 12m traditional pole marquee which has a limitof 100 for a wedding breakfast:
ü fully decorated with liningsü walkway to the houseü Carpeted on wooden flooringü round tables (optional long top table) with a choice of colours for the table linen and runnersü red padded Cheltenham chairs with a choice of colours for chair covers and sashesü dance floorü heating, electrics and lighting including a mirror ballü easel for table plansü outside furniture, lighting and torches
Guests aren’t limited just to the marquee, once the meal is over, the restaurant and bar can be used for some peace and quietfor those who aren’t necessarily music or dance lovers!
The house and marquee fee are £3,250 for the pole marquee.
We can recommend a number of entertainers that have undertaken events previously at the Priests House.
