THE RESORT
Monkey Valley Resort is situated in one of the Cape’s oldest Milkwood Forests overlooking 8km’s of the pristine Noordhoek Beach with the majestic Chapman’s Peak as the backdrop.
We have been host to many weddings both large and small and guarantee an event that will be remembered for years to come. Accommodation is available in the form of our 8 suite Crowned Eagle Villa, or our 2 or 3 bedroom self-catering chalets, and our bed-and-breakfast rooms. Some of our accommodation have Victorian baths and fireplaces to enhance the unique atmosphere of this exclusive resort.

THE VENUES The venue hire cost vary as per below.
TREE TOPS: Beautiful, wooden, thatched room set above the Milkwoods with panoramic views overlooking Noordhoek Beach to Kommetjie. In Summer, the sun slips into the ocean directly in front of the venue creating an enchanting ambiance. 3 fireplaces guarantee cosiness and warmth in the Winter months
Capacity: 100 people max with dance floor OR 120 people max with no dance floor. Venue Hire: R21 000.00 (2019) Includes: Rectangular tables, maroon cushioned chairs, white table cloths and napkins, satellite bar, cutlery crockery and glass ware, full cover fairy lights inside and on Deck and in trees outside.
THE LAPA: A charming stone room, with views of Noordhoek Beach, overlooking the swimming pool. Capacity: 60 people max with dance floor. Venue Hire: R12 000.00 (2019) Includes: Rectangular tables, maroon cushioned chairs, white table cloths and napkins, satellite bar, cutlery, crockery and glassware.
THE POOL ROOM: The smaller of the venues, perfect for cosy, intimate affairs overlooking Noordhoek Beach and the swimming pool. Capacity: Max 20 people with small dance space. Venue Hire: R7 200.00 (2019) Includes: Rectangular tables, maroon cushioned chairs, white table cloths and napkins, satellite bar, cutlery, crockery and glassware.
TABLE 20:
Table 20 is a lovely long light room surrounded by windows, overlooking the pool and ocean. It is an extension to our Thorfynns Restaurant and has hosted many small intimate weddings and parties. Your Ceremony can take place on Crow’s Nest Deck with awesome sea views (see below) Capacity: 20 people Cost to be determined according to your requirements – minimum of R800.00
THE RAVINE: This delightful Ceremony area is a very tranquil setting, nestled in the midst of the Milkwood forest with a root system rumoured to be more than 2000 years old. An arch is supplied. Decor extra Capacity 120 people Venue Hire: R2 000.00
CROW’S NEST DECK:
Quaint, exclusive deck set in the trees above the restaurant. Perfect for both smaller Ceremonies and Receptions with a spectacular view of Long Beach. Max capacity depends on set up Venue hire: R1 700.00 plus R1 000 for reception set up Flowers and decor extra.
BAR FACILITIES: Bar set up fee plus a barman R400 A full satellite bar is set up for all functions. The limit and requirements is determined by the client. Cash bar is also available. We are a fully licensed Resort.We also offer a wonderful selection on our Wedding Wine List at very competitive prices.
SERVICE CHARGE: A 10% service charge is levied on all food and beverages, except in the case of a cash bar.
MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT: DJ’s and live entertainment are welcomed. Due to residential and environmental laws, music must be lowered to a background level at 22h30 and cease at 23h00.
HONEYMOON SUITE: The honeymoon suite is available to the couple at a 50% discount and a complimentary bottle of Sparkling Wine and Breakfast are included.
OPTIONAL EXTRAS TO BE HIRED: (Depending on your requirements) Plastic chairs, Wimbeldon chairs, tiffany chairs or white washed benches for the ceremony area. All Chair covers for the Ceremony and the Reception area available in white, cream and black. Runners and Sashes, Candle sets, Vases, Mirrors and various Design props. Fairy lights - Tree Tops is fully equipped. Plus we have custom fairy lights for the various venues which can be hired.
Data Projector & screen is available. Should you need advice on Florists, Décor, Musicians, DJ’s, Cake bakers, Photographers, Videographers, Ministers, Print design etc, please speak to the Events Manager.

TO SECURE: A signed copy of our Terms and Conditions with a 20% non-refundable deposit for the venue hire is
required to secure the venue and date.
Final balance for wedding hire to be settled latest 60 days prior to wedding date.
CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event that you have to cancel your wedding, your deposit is refundable 6 month prior to the event.
PROVISIONAL BOOKINGS: Provisional bookings will be held for 15 days; thereafter it will be assumed that we can release the date.
