day 30th January.
Bad Weather
There is currently bad weather being forecasted for
the end of the week. In the event of a school clo-
sure, we will put an announcement on the school web-
site, local radio stations: Lincs FM 102.2, BBC Radio
Lincolnshire 94.9 and Heart FM 102.7 and send
emails out.
Please avoid ringing the school as the telephone lines will be congested. Thank you.
I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year. The holiday seemed to fly by. The children have quickly settled down to work
and are enthusiastic about their new topics. The curriculum sheets will be sent out to you next week.
Kingswood
The final instalment of £30 for the Year 6 visit to Kingswood
is due by Friday 30th January.
Congratulations to Miss Goy in the office who is ex-
pecting her first child in June!
Litter
We are having problems with litter on the play-
ground and are making a very determined effort
to resolve this issue. There are plenty of bins on
the playground for the children to put the litter
in, but when they are enjoying playing with their
bins they often forget and drop it on the floor. It would be
appreciated, if you are sending snacks in, that they have the
minimal amount of packaging on them and that you reinforce
the importance of putting litters in bins with them at home.
Parking
We had only been back a couple of days when it was
reported to us that several cars had been parked on
the yellow lines. Please remember to park responsibly
as it is the children’s safety and well-being that is put
at risk if you do not. The KS2 children have had an input about
road safety, from a road safety officer, already this term and
it is very important that they see parents setting a good exam-
ple.
Payments to the Office
Please can you ensure all money is sent direct to the school
office and not sent in your child’s book bag as it is not the
teacher’s responsibility to check the bags for money. We have
had on a few occasions where dinner money and trip money has
not been received at the office until after the due date. Thank
you for your cooperation.

All About Africa
KS1 pupils are learning about Africa this
term and Mr and Mrs Woodhead came
into school to talk about the work that
they did in Kenya, teaching in a school
for 4 weeks.
They also talked to
the children about all the things they had seen
when travelling in Kenya.
Well Done!

ing cube from origami.
To Samuel Archer for coming 2nd in the
