We are very grateful for all the hard work Mr Clough has put in for the seven years he has been here. I know that for many of you he is a point of contact when life becomes difficult or complicated and that he has built up a strong bond with parents and our pupils and worked to safeguardas many pupils as possible. He will be a hard act to follow and we wish him and his family well for a posive Spanish future. In Jan we will be joined by Mrs Goursaud who is the Execuve SENCo of the Cardinal Hulme Academy Trust. Ms Thomas is looking forward to connuing the very strong Safeguarding of our school. Please feel free to contact her if you have any is- sues or problems. A message from Mr. Clough: In September 2013 I accepted the invitaon to join the St. Edwards school community. I knew it would be a challenge, what I didnt know is that I would meet the most amazing people. It has been a delight to work with you all. Since I joined you have made me feel welcome and a trusted part of your community. Every day I have come to work, looking forward to working with your children and being part of their lives. Your children are so impressive: polite, caring, conscienous, resili- ent, resourceful. Your children look aſter each other, accept they can learn from their mistakes and show a desire to make our world a beer place. It has been my honour to be part of their lives and contribute in my own way. Your children have given me the most incredible experiences that will stay in my heart forever. One of our roles in teaching is to ensure chil- dren believe in themselves, aspire and dream. I leave St. Edwards with sadness, but also happy in the knowledge that you will be there, alongside St. Edwards, to help your children achieve their dreams. I wish you all a peaceful and safe Christ- mas and I look forward to vising in the future. WEDNESDAY

    HEADTEACHER’S MESSAGE

    Dear Parents/Carers,

As we reach the end of term, I am grateful for all our parents working with us to ensure that we have stayed free of Covid this

    term. Thank you.

We enjoyed meeting you virtually at our recent Parent Teacher evenings. If you were unable to make the meeting or didn ’t

manage to book a slot, we will be contacting you in early January to arrange a meeting.

Homework has been sent home to cover the entire holiday and if your child is unclear then the references and instructions

will be on SeeSaw. Work is expected back in school the first Wednesday of term. Homework Club will restart the week of the

    11th January 2021 (second week).

Sadly Mr Clough is moving to the next exciting stage in his life and he and his family are moving to Spain. We are very grateful

for all the hard work Mr Clough has put in for the seven years he has been here. I know that for many of you he is a point of

contact when life becomes difficult or complicated and that he has built up a strong bond with parents and our pupils and

worked to ‘safeguard’ as many pupils as possible. He will be a hard act to follow and we wish him and his family well for a

    positive Spanish future.

In Jan we will be joined by Mrs Goursaud who is the Executive SENCo of the Cardinal Hulme Academy Trust. Ms Thomas is

looking forward to continuing the very strong Safeguarding of our school. Please feel free to contact her if you have any is-

    sues or problems.

    A message from Mr. Clough:

In September 2013 I accepted the invitation to join the St. Edward’s school community. I knew it would be a challenge,

what I didn’t know is that I would meet the most amazing people. It has been a delight to work with you all. Since I joined

you have made me feel welcome and a trusted part of your community. Every day I have come to work, looking forward to

working with your children and being part of their lives. Your children are so impressive: polite, caring, conscientious, resili-

ent, resourceful. Your children look after each other, accept they can learn from their mistakes and show a desire to make

our world a better place. It has been my honour to be part of their lives and contribute in my own way. Your children have

given me the most incredible experiences that will stay in my heart forever. One of our roles in teaching is to ensure chil-

dren believe in themselves, aspire and dream. I leave St. Edward’s with sadness, but also happy in the knowledge that you

will be there, alongside St. Edward’s, to help your children achieve their dreams. I wish you all a peaceful and safe Christ-

mas and I look forward to visiting in the future.

    Next Term:

    CATHOLIC LIFE OF THE SCHOOL

    Happy Christmas!

This week we reflected on the birth of our

Saviour through our Nativities and Carol

Service. We have enjoyed scaled down

versions of our usual Christmas events

and our audience for all our Christmas

celebrations have joined us virtually and

have been able to see their children. We

have now moved to a webinar system and

this means that you can send the link

from our website to any relations who did

not see the event. Our thanks to Father

Ben who prayed for all of us to have a

    peaceful and healthy Christmas.
