7 districts reported 1 AFP case each in the
first weeks of 2018.
All of these districts reported AFP cases in
2018 have annualized NP-AFP rate above 2
and also Stool adequacy rate above 80%.
The remaining 98 districts have not reported
any AFP case in 2018

• 1st round of mOPV campaign was concluded, however we still have vials unaccounted for as
below;
• 854 vials in Banadir representing 3.7% of the total vials supplied• 61 vials in Lower Shabelle representing 0.6% of total vials supplied• 77 vials in Middle Shabelle representing 1.2% of total vials supplied
• Q1 routine vaccine have been dispatched and received in all regional states
• We have received 386,700 vials of OCV and 59,850 vials of bOPV (RI) in Nairobi.
• As we plan to hand over cold chain management in Central South to government in June
2018, all cold chain institutional Contracts have been renewed till July 2018.
• Process is under way to order for vaccines for the polio and IPV campaigns
• Mass Measles campaign supplies prepositioned in all regional states
