Week 1Application

The application for which the new GUI(graphical user interface) will be designed is an application that will be made by us for the proftaak. The application is intended to be used for selling photos and objects with those photos printed on them.

Users

There are 3 type of different users for the application. The first user is the owner and administrator of the application. There can be multiple administrators, those are people employed by the owner of the application. The goal for the owner/administrators is to sell objects, mugs etc., with photos printed on them.

The second user group are the photographers who want to sell their pictures.

Lastly we have the customers who want to buy the pictures and objects that are sold on the application.

Problems

One of the problems of the users is that selling pictures on your own can be challenging and difficult to do. Another problem is that buying pictures from photographers can be very time consuming if you cannot find the right picture and have to visit multiple photographers. Furthermore if someone wants an object with a photo printed on it they need to visit two separate entities to get the wanted result, one for the photo and one to print the photo on the object.

Solutions

The first problem will be solved by selling on a large scale application. This way the only thing the photographer has to do is add the photo to the collection and wait for people to buy the photograph.

For the second problem the application is an easy solution because it will bundle multiple photographers in one easy to reach place. This makes searching photos less time consuming because you can search through photos of multiple photographers at once.

This is bundled with the possibility to purchase object with the photo printed on them too. This will be a possible solution to problem three.

On the web is one website that is similar to our webshop http://www.wanyama-photo.nl/webshop/. In this webshop you can buy pictures, buy the pictures on items like mobile casings. Also is it possible to get an photoshopped picture like black/white and sepia.

Target User(s)

our target of user(s) is every age. The reason behind this is because anybody wants to buy photo’s. So we don’t have a particular age target group. We do have target group on what kind of pictures because some photographers that make nature photos, photographers that make city photos and then we got the elder people that wanna buy school pictures from their kids.

Observe Target group

The user doesn’t understand why the first photo on the website doesn’t load on his screen. In his opinion the view button is too small, the collection of photos could be better divided over the website. Some information is not particular necessary so it would be better to have that in a product information page. The pop out is annoying for the rest of the website. For the rest the user could use the website and find a way to buy the photo

Recorded problems

Photo doesn’t load on the website, The user finds it annoying that he can’t see what kind of photos are in it. Small view buttons, User finds it hard to see it because he is used to bigger buttons on the nowadays websites.

The overview of the photos, if they divided it more the website would be smaller and possibly better viewable. The dates of when the picture is taken can better ben put in the product information.

The pop out screen for buying a photo makes it annoying to look through nice photos, so the user said that maybe a overview of other pictures in the buy screen is a possibility.

Create Personas

Maikel is a 25 year old male that has a study in photography. He is inspired by nature and prefers to make a lot of nature pictures. Maikel likes to go to other countries to make his nature photos. Maikel likes to share his photos with other people. For this Maikel is looking for a webshop that can sell his photos on the internet.

Chris is a 59 year old male that likes city’s from other countries. Because Chris can’t go to every country he likes to buy photos made of certain city’s . For his he is looking for a webshop where photographers upload these to buy.

Determine Goal

The determined goals for our user Group is the same as our goals for the application. The goal for the application is so that photographers can sell their photos on the web. Another goal is so that people can buy photos they like.
