DUNGAY PUBLIC SCHOOL
Term 3 commences Monday 22 July for all students (NO PUPIL FREE DAY)
WINNERS!
CONGRATULATIONS to our Year 6 band members who this morning won the trophy for 1st place in the Vocal and Instrumental group at the Murwillumbah Festival of Performing Arts! Such an outstanding achievement amongst very impressive competition, all other schools should be very proud of their
performances.

St Anthony’s 4th place
The Dungay boys and girls showed lots of effort and persistence during practice time with Mr Simpson.
This is the first time Dungay PS has won this event and we are all very proud.
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Week 10 is a very busy week for our school. We are looking forward to performing at our Small schools Stewart House Concert on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning students from Years 3-6 will be going to Wollumbin HS to watch their drama performances. The teachers are excited
to meet with parents on Wednesday at our parent interviews.
I personally want to thank students, parents and staff for their ongoing commitment and dedication to Dungay Public School. It has been a wonderful term 2 and I hope you all enjoy a safe and happy mid year holiday. Just a reminder Dungay will be returning to school on Monday
22 July.
STEWART HOUSE CONCERT Tuesday 2 July 2019 (Week 10)
Tomorrow students will be catching the bus from school up to Tweed Heads Civic Centre. Could all students please come dressed in their item gear for both the matinee and the night time performance. Year 6 boys, Mr Stephens has football jerseys for all of you to wear. If the
boys have their own jersey they can bring these too.
The matinee performance starts at 10am and the night time performance will commence at 6pm. We ask all parents to bring their child to the Tweed Heads Civic Centre and meet their class teacher at 5.20pm. Students to have eaten prior to the night time performance. Please see
program attached.
Tickets are still available from on the school office for matinee and evening performances!
ART ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM Thursday 4 July, 3:00pm – 4:15pm This week is the last week of the arts program. Students involved will be going to the Art Gallery then coming back to school for the last art session. Please ensure your child has returned their permission note to attend the gallery. Parents are more than welcome to come and see
their students artwork after 3.45pm.
SMALL SCHOOLS ATHLETICS Week 1—Wednesday 24 & Thursday 25 July
Both the half day and full day athletics carnivals for small schools will be held in week one next term. Attached is the permission note for the whole school to attend the full day being held on Thursday 25 July. Please have your child’s permission note returned to school by this
Friday 5 July. A permission note will be sent home on Wednesday for the half day carnival being held on 24 July.
