This week has been much more settled compared with last week’s computer server hiccup and the loss of phone
contact with the outside world. Now we just need a bit more sun and less mud.
Kids For Kids:
In our rush to get things organised last week I overlooked getting permission slips to allow us to take your child
over the hill to the Kids for Kids Concert on the 15 August. These have been sent out on Tuesday of this week
and we would appreciate them back by this Friday the 5th Aug with any further offers of transport gratefully
accepted.
Missing Clothing:
We do have a small pile of lost property at school which we do our best to give back. At this time we have
several children who have either lost or misplaced a ‘special top’ which we just can’t find. So if your child has
arrived home with a different ‘top’ we have someone who’d love it back please.
COL Community Of Learning:
Currently, with encouragement from the Ministry of Education, schools in areas such as Golden Bay are
developing co-operative interactive groups across all schools both Primary and Secondary. Of course Motupipi
school will be involved and to bring our staff up to date with developments and future plans we will be
attending Hui with the other teachers on Tuesday 30th August during the afternoon that day. For Motupipi this
will be a Teacher Only half-day with buses operating for home from 12:00 noon for the whole bay. Please mark
this on your calendar.
Thanks Nick Farr (Acting Principal)

WANTED We are after Adult size t-shirts to use as Art Aprons. If you have any spare that you no longer need we would love if you could donate them to Motupipi.
We still need volunteers to make school lunches on the following Fridays: 19/8, 26/8, 2/9, 9/9, 23/9. Please note that it is much easier to prepare and serve with 2-3 people and with two people for serving!! If you haven’t done it before and have questions contact Mandy 021 548 991.
