to live as true Christian witnesses.

Our world today gives us great challenges and even opportunities to be able to show

that we are true witnesses. But, sometimes we struggle and we fail to do

this. This is the reason why we are sent a Guide and Helper who enables us to win

over struggles and failures.

• They became courageous, eloquent and zealous in proclaiming the Good News to everyone. • The apostles felt the power of the Holy Spirit over them because they were able to speak in different languages and to go out bravely to preach.

During Confirmation, we receive the sign or seal of the Holy Spirit. This

sign in not a visible mark. However, this seal marks us as witnesses of

Christ.

“The Sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of the baptismal grace. Through Confirmation, the baptized is bound to the Church and is enriched with the strength of the Holy Spirit.” (CFC 1285)

What happens to the person receiving Confirmation?

Therefore, Confirmation actually does two things in us:

We become closer with the Church.We are strengthened and

empowered by the Holy Spirit to actively spread the faith. (CFC 1626)

Our confirmation transforms us to become zealous

witnesses to Jesus. As young as now, you can already

become a witness to Jesus.
