Just another reminder that on days of home spring sport games, the athletic wing including locker rooms and weight room are shut down and secured immediately after school. Visiting teams will be in the PE locker rooms starting close to 3:00. Please be sure on home game days to clear what you need out of your athletic or PE locker prior to the end of school for the next day as you won’t be able to re-enter the athletic wing or locker rooms.

Attention all students who play a sport or any extracurricular activity. This is a reminder that if you come late to school from a medical appointment, you MUST bring a note from the medical provider’s office in order to be eligible to participate that day. A note from your parents will not suffice. The note must be from the medical provider’s office!
Attention all students storing gym bags in the gym. Gym bags may NOT be left on the gym floor. They are blocking the fire extinguisher access which is a fire code violation. All bags must be place on top of the bleachers. All bags left on the floor will be picked up and will have to be claimed at the very end of the day from the Athletic Department.
Attention those going out for spring sports. Please remember as we head into next week that if Forsyth County Schools cancels school due to weather, we are also cancelled and if we cancel, all practices and games are cancelled per school policy.
ATTENTION VARSITY BOYS’ SOCCER
Team Camp: 7/29-31 at Wake Forest University. Camp is overnight, and the cost is $220 per player. Please email Coach Hodges at [email protected] for all forms and info. Tryouts: 8/1-8/4. Location will be at Bishop McGuinness and Triad Park. Times TBD.
Please contact Coach Hodges at [email protected] with any questions.
BMHS Sports Physicals will be offered again this spring on Thursday, May 12 at 3:30 in the Bishop McGuinness Gym. These clothed physicals are for incoming Bishop McGuinness Students only who are entering grades 9-12. The cost of the physicals are $15 and proceeds go back to the school athletic department. Physicals are good for one year from the date they are performed. Cash or checks made out to Guilford Orthopaedic will be accepted. You must be in line no later than 4:20 to be able to get a physical. Please bring the 2 page NCHSAA Physical form on the “Athletics” section of the Bishop McGuinness website with the medical history page already filled out. Please contact Jeff Stoller at [email protected] with any questions.
