Life ApplicationI can thank God for His love and care.

Level of Biblical Learning (God)God wants people to worship Him.

How do you define worship? How do you know when you have worshiped? Worship is "focusing attention on God and enjoying God's presence." Consider how Hezekiah led a nation to worship.• Review the life of King Ahaz (2 Chronicles 28).

What type of worship did he provide for people?• Contrast Ahaz's life with that of his son, Hezekiah

(2 Chronicles 29). According to 2 Kings 18:5-7, Hezekiah trusted God like no other kings of Judah before or after Him. He kept the commandments God gave to Moses.

• Notice when Hezekiah began reforming the nation. Second Chronicles 29:3 states he began in his first month as king, with restoring the temple as his top priority. Before Hezekiah permitted the priests and Levities to begin work on the temple, he instructed them to consecrate themselves. To consecrate means to "set apart for the service of God." Do you consecrate yourself for God's service? What can you do differently, starting right now, to consecrate yourself for worship?

• Read verses 20-30. When the temple was ready, Hezekiah's first act of worship was a sacrifice. He made a sin offering, followed by a burnt offering to restore the broken relationship between God and the nation. Evaluate your relationship with God. Pray, asking God to show you actions, attitudes, and thoughts that are sins against Him. Confess and agree those things are sins, and repent.

• List some characteristics of worship you would like the preschoolers in your ministry to demonstrate as a result of today's worship.
