Every student will have their own copy of the newspaper as a memory of the wonderful year we’ve had together! Please Let Me Know: “Keep in Touch Section” We will have a section in the newspaper where students can share personal information that will help them to keep in touch with each other over the summer and in the future, such as phone numbers and home & email addresses. If you’d rather your child not share some or all of this information, please let me know by filling out the information below. Parent Signature: ____________________________ SOCIAL STUD- IES, SCIENCE, HEALTH Change of Plans: Last week in the newsletter I stated that the students would create a board game; how- ever, with our busy schedule these next two weeks, I am instead assigning students a Research Scavenger Hunt that will take them through our social studies, science, and health textbooks to find answers to various questions, reinforcing what we have learned this year in these three subjects. DSO ART MURAL We will be painting in the mornings between 9:00-10:00 if the weather permits. Come join us if you’d like to watch the artists work! “AMAZING RACE AROUND THE WORLD” The “Amazing Race Around the World” is this Friday! Don’t forget to send in a plain white t-shirt with your name on the label in permanent marker by Thurs- day Please send in the American food designated on the slip sent home a couple of weeks ago. Please let me know if you need a reminder of what food item we’ve asked you to bring in. 4th Graders: Please remember to wear your country’s outfit for the “Amazing Race Around the World.” You will be the country officials who will stamp the 5th grader’s passports as they travel in the race. Wear your yellow Superstar t-shirt on Friday this week for the “Amazing Race Around the World” (including 4th graders, who will wear their t-shirts when the race is finished.) FIELD DAY Don’t forget to wear your yellow Superstar t-shirt on field day to show your Superstar Spirit! Parents, please let me know if you can help out during field day. We are still in need of a few more parents to help out with the field day stations. For parents who are unable to help at the stations, we’d still love to have you, if just for a little time, to cheer us on as we participate in the events. “SUPERSTAR END OF YEAR POWERPOINT CELEBRATION” Superstar Families are invited to join us on Tuesday, June 12th, for our End of the Year PowerPoint Cele- bration in our classroom from 1:30-2:15.
