Job Description
Quickly learn and closely adhere to the safety practices required by T E C Industrial and it’s
customer.
Perform piping work and activities as directed by Piping Journeyman,
May load, transport, unload, and furnish journeyman with materials, tools, equipment, and
supplies.
Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials during installation.
May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of journeyman’s tools and equipment.
Perform other routine duties as directed by experienced craft person.
Follow specific directions from experienced Journeymen and site supervision
Complete variety of duties which may often change as project completion needs require;
Work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure
This work will be performed outdoors, and will continue in almost weather condition possible with the
one exception of conditions which warrant warnings or advisement of seeking shelter. Most normal
weather conditions will not prevent scheduled work from being performed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1 – 2 years of completed classes in an accredited industrial mechanical or electrical program
2 – 3 years of experience on an industrial site performing craft work.
Preferred Experience
Minimum 1-year experience working on an industrial site performing similar work
A completed degree program from an accredited Technical or Vocational school
A completed OSHA training course, including OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 designation
Some equivalent combination of the above requirements and experience.

Preferred Experience
Work closely with the assigned Division Planner to ensure work is coordinated in a safe and effective
manner to promote a safe work environment, timeliness of jobs, as well as effectiveness in job
completions. Supervise the execution of jobs according to the daily work schedule, and assign work in a
manner to maximize safety as well as labor productivity. Conduct a weekly tool box accident prevention
meeting with all crew members to discuss current issues as well as communicate from Management on
site and corporate issues / concerns. Assure that the methods and precautions identified by the work
permits are being followed as outlined. Direct work of assigned crew members as well as coordinate
with their assigned job planner to eliminate waiting time and delays. Follow up on jobs assigned to
determine progress and status according to the schedule and ensures the work is completed as scope
was outlined. Take corrective action when safety or site policies are violated. Fill out a daily time sheet
for hours worked by work order for time input for Company billings to the client and the clients’ time
system SAP. Conduct an accurate evaluation regularly of crew members.
Job Duties Include:
Supervises and leads workers engaged in all mechanical aspects of construction.
Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and
timely completion of the works.
Able to demonstrate good organizational skills, following policies, procedures and work
practices and developing improvements where necessary.
Ability to read, interpret and follow method statements and procedures.
Commands respect of his workforce and develops excellent working relationships with all other
department personnel as well as client management.
Must be a good communicator.
Must be able to give instructions in an efficient and effective way to his workforce.
Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation
is completed on time.
Daily time cards are completed accurately and on time.
Plan overtime for approval.
Ensure housekeeping is ongoing by maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
Enforce safety rules through ongoing communication and Toolbox meetings.
Ensure equipment and tools are secure and used correctly.
Familiar with all Company safety and QA/QC procedures and strictly enforces them amongst the
workforce.
Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type
of incidents and or accidents.

Drill holes for installations, using a power drill.
Trace out short circuits in wiring using knowledge of wiring and test meter.
Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects, such as wiring, conduit and motors.
Perform minor repairs, such as replacing switches and outlets, using hand tools.
Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order.
Place barricades around open manholes, excavations, and above and below working
crewmembers to protect workers and the public from injury.
Dig trenches and lower tools and materials to workers in excavations and vaults.
Measure and cut wiring.
Position reels of wire or electric cable and guide wire/cable as it is pulled into conduits to
prevent damage to insulation.
Core-drill and break up concrete using air hammer to facilitate installation or repair of
equipment.
Rig hoists and help move heavy machinery parts to assist in assembly and repair of generators,
converters, switchgear, and related equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as necessary.

Position / Title: Padmount Test Technician
Reports To: PM Engineering Manager Department: 33 Test
PURPOSE OF JOB: To electrically test, troubleshoot and perform a quality assurance inspection on the
equipment manufactured Federal Pacific.
UNUSUAL ENVIRONMENT FACTORS: Normal manufacturing environment with some dust and noise.
Voltages up to 200KV. Troubleshoot energized circuits with 120 volts present.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS TO ACCOMPLISH CENTRAL PURPOSE:
1. Comprehend and follow shop procedures, standard practice instructions, prints, diagrams and
other written and verbal instructions.
2. Manipulate apparatus and components to required workstations, equipment, stations and
positions.
3. Able to use hand tools and air tools.
4. Determine proper method for testing various components.
5. Complete testing, troubleshooting, and inspection of simple to complex electrical, electronic,
and mechanical components and verify proper or faulty components.
6. Interpret documented engineering and customer specifications and quality inspection
requirements.
7. Able to determine quality of workmanship as well as operation and function of electrical circuits
8. Assist with special work assignments as assigned by the Area Manager or designee with
appropriate instruction and supervision provided.
9. Comprehend and observe all safety and quality standards and participate in Kaizan and Area
Focus Teams.
10. Work with Engineering and design personnel to help solve problems and correct documentation
for future use.
11. Using manual tools, occasional solvents, and cleaning supplies to maintain a clean and orderly
work area.
12. To maintain regular and timely attendance, to work in an efficient manner, and to work
overtime when required, all sufficiently to support the continuous manufacturing process
13. Work in close concert with, and getting along with, co-workers.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform and develop calibration procedures.
2. Perform and develop testing procedures.
3. Assist in assigned Research and Development projects.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires a two-year technical or vocational degree with 5 years of relevant work experience or
appropriate combination of education, training, skills, and experience. The Human Resource
Administrator can determine whether education and training are equivalent based on associate’s
experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Knowledge of electrical and electronic test equipment.
2. Knowledge of operation and ability to troubleshooting PLCs.
3. Proficient with computer operation and the ability to set up communication parameters with
protective relaying or PLCs as needed
4. Understanding of basic transformer concepts and connections such as Wye and Delta
connections
5. Familiarity with single and three phase circuits
6. Familiarity with protective relaying and control schemes
7. Understand and help develop safe work practices when working in close proximity to energized
electrical equipment.
