Welcome to South Main!
You’re invited to be a part of our family as we worship God, encourage one anoth-
er, and grow spiritually together.
When we meet together, we sing, pray, study the Bible, partake together in the
communion of the Lord's supper, and en-joy great family fellowship.
A fully staffed nursery is available. Ask an usher for assistance.
During AM services, we offer signing for those who are hearing impaired.

Bob’s Thoughts...
Caring For People “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” Good proverb and good practice. We are often long on knowledge and short on compassion; correct on doctrine and offensive in nature.
We would all do well to remember Jesus did not die for buildings, budgets or programs, or, for carpets, cooling or committees. He died for people!
Here are some common sense rules in working with people: SPEAK TO PEOPLE. There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting. SMILE AT PEOPLE. Smiling is the international language. It takes 72 muscles to frown but only 14 to
smile and, it pays dividends. CALL PEOPLE BY NAME. The sweetest music to anyone’s ears is the sound of their own name. “Greet
the friends there by name.” (3 John 14) BE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. The best way to have friends is to be a friend. Jesus was called “a
friend of sinners.” (Luke 7:34) DON’T PUT STRINGS ON YOUR LOVE. Jesus loves “because” and “in spite of.” BE GENUINE. It’s easy to treat people as if they are worth something if you remember that they are! BE GENEROUS WITH YOUR PRAISE. You can literally “praise people to greatness.” It works with
kids, marriages, and church members. BE CONSIDERATE. “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” (Matthew 7:12) BE A SERVANT. Servants and Givers are the ones on the way to greatness. (Matthew 20:26)
In our effort to be doctrinally correct, organizationally strong and ministry rich, let’s not forget that we work with people!
Have a Great Week,
Bob
