RABBI’S CORNER

Shabbat, Parshat Bamidbar

Dear Young Israel Families,

Every Shabbat, while we Daven in Shul, we are

blessed to have a youth staff that not only ensures

our children are kept safe, but also make their

time in Shul fun and meaningful. Perhaps most

importantly, these middle & high school students

serve as role models for our children. This Shabbat,

we take the opportunity to say Todah Rabbah for

their year(s) of service. Instead of sleeping in or

taking it easy on Shabbat (and occasionally on

Sunday), our youth staff are committed to ensuring

our youth program is a success. This Shabbat,

following Adon Olam, there will be a special

presentation to the youth staff followed by a

Kiddush in their honor. While this is on behalf of

the entire Shul, please extend yourself to

personally thank your child’s group leader.

Unfortunately, I will not be at YIEB this Shabbat, so

I want to take this opportunity to express my

gratitude to each member of our youth staff for

their service to our Shul, community and children.

Best wishes for a Shabbat Shalom,

Rabbi Jay Weinstein
