RABBI’S CORNER
Shabbat, Parshat Bamidbar
Dear Young Israel Families,
Every Shabbat, while we Daven in Shul, we are
blessed to have a youth staff that not only ensures
our children are kept safe, but also make their
time in Shul fun and meaningful. Perhaps most
importantly, these middle & high school students
serve as role models for our children. This Shabbat,
we take the opportunity to say Todah Rabbah for
their year(s) of service. Instead of sleeping in or
taking it easy on Shabbat (and occasionally on
Sunday), our youth staff are committed to ensuring
our youth program is a success. This Shabbat,
following Adon Olam, there will be a special
presentation to the youth staff followed by a
Kiddush in their honor. While this is on behalf of
the entire Shul, please extend yourself to
personally thank your child’s group leader.
Unfortunately, I will not be at YIEB this Shabbat, so
I want to take this opportunity to express my
gratitude to each member of our youth staff for
their service to our Shul, community and children.
Best wishes for a Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Jay Weinstein

MESSAGE FROM THE NORPAC MISSION
LEADERSHIP
The NORPAC leadership wants you to know that
we have already seen tangible results from the
recent mission. Your participation matters! Here is
a summary of the exciting developments:
1. The Hezbollah International Financial Prevention
Act had 24 cosponsors prior to the NORPAC
Mission. Now there are over 100 cosponsors for
the House bill.
2. Sen. Marco Rubio (R- Fla.) agreed to co-
introduce similar Hezbollah legislation in the
Senate.
3. On the Mission day we added a 60th Senate
cosponsor (John Walsh D-MT) onto the Menendez-
Kirk Iran Sanctions Bill- a Herculean feat given the
President's pressure to delay that bill.
4. Rep. Alan Grayson (D- Fla.) prepared legislation
to cut off funding for higher education institutions
which support BDS (Boycott Divestment Sanctions)
of Israel.

distribute that food to families who could benefit
from it. What a beautiful way to end your Simcha
by performing this Mitzvah. Please contact Barbara
Goldman at [email protected] in order to make
these arrangements. Thank you!!!

Jews fought and died side-by-side with their non-

Jews to be buried in separate cemeteries. Can a Jew
