SECOND COLLECTION. St. Bede Parish will take up a Second Collection this weekend, May

30 & 31, for the Catholic Communications Campaign. This collection communicates the Gospel and enriches our faith through Catholic

social media activities. Half of all proceeds remain in our archdiocese and support local

needs, so please be generous in this collection.

SEGUNDA COLECTA. El fin de semana, nuestra parroquia realizará la Colecta para la Campaña Católica de la Comunicación. I’m Joseph, (now) a third year seminarian for the glorious Archdiocese of Mobile. I’m a native of Auburn, born-and-raised, and blessed to be able to spend my summer assignment with y’all at St. Bede. This is a wonderful time to continue building relationships around the diocese. Prior to entering seminary, I was a missionary with FOCUS at Georgia Tech and prior to that, a full-time software developer. My time in seminary has been incredibly encouraging and formative, and I’m excited to share this summer with y’all!

1. Parents must be married in the Catholic Church. 2. If a couple is civilly married or unmarried, they must

make an appointment to meet with the Pastor before they can have their children baptized.

3. Children age 6 and under will receive the sacrament of Baptism. From 7 and above, they will receive all three sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation).

4. Parents must bring a copy of their marriage certificate from the Church where they were married.

5. Godparents must be practicing Catholics. You may have a proxy for a godparent/s who may be unable to come.

6. To have your child baptized, contact Andrea at 272-3463 to schedule a Baptism Preparation Class.

7. Baptism in English is every 3rd Sunday of each month after the 10am Mass.

1. Los padres deben estar casados por la Iglesia catolica. 2. Si la pareja está casada civilmente o no están casados,

ellos deben hacer una cita para reunirse con el Pastor antes de bautizar a su hijo(s).

3. Niños de 6 años o menores van a recibir el scramento de Bautismo. Niños de 7 años o mayores, recibirán los 3 sacramentos de Iniciación (Bautismo, Primera Comunión, y Confirmación).

at the age of 93.

Patricia (Pat) Smyth Adams, who passed away on Sunday, May 24th, at the age of 88. She is survived by her four children, Wade (Margaret) Adams, Connie (Mick Morbitzer), Melinda Kramer, and Jim (Katie) Adams, with 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Edward Michael (Ed) O’Donnell, who passed away on Tuesday, May 19th, at the age

of 86. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ray, and his children, Dorothy

Lyons Wilkie, Edward (Cecilie) O’Donnell, Scott (Kim) O’Donnell, Mollie (Scott

Maddison), Amy (Manny Sanchez) and St. Bede parishioner, Andy (Virginia) O’Donnell; with

skills, and be able to handle several concurrent tasks and projects. The High School Campus administrative assistant serves as the first point of contact for the school, both in-

person and on the phone, and should be pleasant, welcoming, and willing to meet the needs of the families and communities we serve. Efficient time-management,

organization, and problem-solving skills are a must. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to reception and

clerical duties, scheduling, supply ordering, and event logistics. Candidates should be fluent with productivity

software, such as Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite.
