Liberty of choice in shapes and materials of work piecesThe laser technology we use ranges to precision demanding needs. The dimensions and shapes of the work pieces will seldom set bounds to laser machining. We can work webs, sheets, tubes, rods, and – owing to the exact optical po-sitioning – we can work even complex machined work pieces. The thickness of work pieces begin from 5 micrometers and the size may vary from microscopic to bulky and long pieces.

Laser cuttingThe shape of a laser cutting is completely optional. Laser cut-ting offers opportunities for new, innovative products owing to a cutting ray being thinner than a hair. Cutting is a swift and economic procedure.

Benefits by laser machiningThe precision machining Nd:YAG lasers open new opportunities for the plan-ning of product structure and look. In many cases the laser allows both finan-cial and environmental savings. Thanks to the pulsating mode, the machining is carried out without any heating influence and a smooth final result comes without after-treatment.

Laser weldingLaser welding produces hardly perceptible welds and spots. This advanced technology is especially well suited for her-metical seams and even joints requiring structural strength. A speciality for the laser weld-ing is bimetallic welded joints, e.g. copper – steel or titanium – stainless steel. This method is especially suitable when mi-cro-welding extremely thin and small work pieces.

Laser drillingLaser drilling comes in questi-on when a normal drill bit is too thick. We can make small sepa-rate holes from 10μm upwards. With full output hundreds of holes can be made per second. These are brilliant properties e.g. for various filter solutions, or when tiny flows are deman-ded for vapours and fluids.

Laser machiningA good example of laser machi-ning is the oil groove chiselled in a tempered work piece. There are lots of possible applications, also in the field of micro-machi-ning. Don’t hesitate to ask us about more information on how to improve your product further with laser technology.

Welas - release your visions

Welas focuses on fine mechanical laser working. We cooperate with several fields of industry utilizing the opportunities of Nd:YAG lasers and our own techno-logical know-how. We already have many years’ ex-perience from e.g. medical and instrument industries, where an extremely precise machining is required.

Our flexible line of action enables to make unique work pieces, proto series as well as production se-ries. The cooperation may extend even to contract manufacturing. A complete delivery may also include assembly work as well as exacting machining, heat treatment and surface finishing obtained through our network.
