What Is Writing Intervention?

Semester elective designed to support select students in English/Language Arts, with emphasis on writing

Writing—select assignments to strengthen skills

Reading 2x/week in class with response activity

Support in all regular ELA class assignments Little to no homework will be assigned in

this class. The only time a student would have homework is if they do not finish assignments in class.

Treat each other, the teacher, and all property with courtesy and respect.

How Can I Help My Child Succeed at Union?

Check Planner daily and make sure assignments get done.

Have them read a lot! UMS expectation is 30 minutes 5 nights a week.

Plan ahead—if there are any projects make sure they are not left until the last minute.

Check PowerSchool for update of grades/assignments
