Student Success Pledge and Commitment Continued

We acknowledge that faculty voices must advocate for innovation and support the achievement of their students. We recognize that in order to meet these goals we must commit to the pursuit of teaching excellence, demonstrate intentionality, transparency and effectiveness in our pedagogy, and finally, exhibit passion for the classroom experience.

Student Success Pledge and Commitment Continued

We pledge to work for the good of the “whole” student. We acknowledge that developmental education cannot cure the multiple contributors to student failure, including insufficient student development prior to college enrollment, poverty, discrimination and lack of social support, and yet affirm that informed pedagogy can help students overcome barriers and achieve deeper learning.
