Welcome Home! With this sentence I am starting my word as you are welcomed in this outstanding medical event. It gives me great honor and pleasure to welcome you in IMAC “the Intervention Master Aortic Course”.
The Course is held within the splendor and magic of Renaissance Mirage Hotel hoping that this will be a memorable event for all participants and guests. We would like to welcome all our guests’ speakers from all around the world, their participation presence and active interaction is what makes this event a success.
Tens of Meetings…Hundreds of emails….thousands of minutes spent by devoted members of the organizing and scientific committee to create this state of Art.

Ahmed N Assar
MD FRCS is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Ipswich Hospital
NHS Trust. Mr Assar received his medical degree from Cairo
University Medical School in 1995. He trained in General and
Vascular Surgery at Cairo University Hospitals where he was
awarded the MSc and MD degrees in Surgery. He then moved to
the UK where he trained in Vascular Surgery at St Mary's Hospital
in London & Nottingham University Hospitals and was a registrar
in General, and Vascular Surgery in East Anglia rotating between
hospitals in the region.
Ahmed Shaalan
A vascular clinical fellow in York Teaching Hospital the 3rd busiest
UK hospital in carotid surgery in 2015. As international vascular
trainee, completed two years of sponsorship training scheme by
Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. awarded ChM Master’s
degree in vascular and endovascular surgery from University of
Edinburgh. Vascular patients’ education is my area of interest.

Ashraf Mansour
Professor and Chairman of the Department of
Surgery, Michigan State University and Spectrum
Health Hospitals. He is a practicing vascular and
endovascular surgeon, completing training at the
University of Colorado Health Sciences Center,
and Southern Illinois University School of
Medicine. After several years at Loyola University
in Chicago, he moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He started the vascular fellowship and the
integrated vascular residency in 2003. He
maintains interest in clinical research and trials.
Currently, Dr. Mansour holds leadership positions
in several State and National Surgical Societies.
He is a Director on the Spectrum Health System

He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2009. He was appointed as consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust
Hisham Rashed
Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon King’s College and St Thomas’ Hospitals specialists in all aspects of vascular surgery including limb reconstruction in diabetic and non-diabetic patients, carotid artery surgery for stroke prevention, varicose vein surgery for cosmetic and complicated cases (especially recurrent varicose veins), abdominal aortic aneurysm repair and aortic reconstruction for occlusive disease.
Hossam Farouk an Associate Professor of Surgery in The Ohio State University. He graduated from The University of Cairo School of Medicine in 1990 as a fully trained general and plastic surgeon. He is a member of the American Board of Surgery with certification in general and vascular surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His other memberships include the Society of Vascular Surgery.

Ismail El Hamamsy
A cardiac surgeon at the Montreal Heart Institute and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Montreal. Dr. El-Hamamsy has a special interest in aortic valve and wall pathologies. His main surgical expertise focuses on complex aortic root and ascending aortic surgery, including aortic valve- sparing procedures, aortic valve repair and the Ross procedure. Since 2011, he has performed more than 250 Ross procedures at the MHI. He is also co-founder and director of the Aortic and Connective Tissue Clinic (ACTC) at the MHI.
Karim Al Sakka consultant vascular surgeon in Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals. His surgical training was partly at Imperial College and partly at Kings College Hospital in London. He undertakes all forms of vascular surgery and is the surgical lead for vascular access surgery as well as diabetic foot management at the University Hospital

Badge All registrants and exhibitors must wear their name badge to have access to congress sessions, lunches and social events. No exceptions will be made
Credit Hours System Individual Credit hours for attending the Congress (According to Barcode System) Credit hours for the different sessions will be provided at end of each session, certification with the number of credit hours will depend on getting a proof from attendance analysis of the bar code system. Certificate will be issued ONCE with the actual ratio of scientific attendance
