Ms Anne Kiunuhe, Partner,

ALN Kenya | Anjarwalla & Khanna

Anne is a Partner in the Corporate department at ALN Kenya and co-heads firm’s

Competition Law Practice.

With over ten years of experience as a corporate lawyer, Anne specialises in

mergers and acquisitions, IT & telecommunications law, competition law and

intellectual property law. She is a recognised leader in her field and has

spearheaded multiple initiatives in antitrust law development in Kenya and

COMESA.

Anne is a regular speaker at corporate law conferences and an ardent writer on

contemporary legal topics. She is ranked by the Chambers Global Legal Directory

and has been voted one of Kenya’s best M&A lawyers by IFLR1000 and Best

Lawyers International. Anne is a previous winner of the CfC Stanbic Rising Star

Award.

Mr Joseph Choge, Chief Executive Officer,

Premier Foods Limited (PFL)

Mr Joseph Choge joined Premier Foods Limited in 2017 as the CEO and is

responsible for leading a team of hundreds of people. Together, the team is

taking PFL to greater heights through an expansion strategy that ensures

every meal, from breakfast to dinner, is enriched.

Joseph holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics and a Master’s

degree in International Management from the University of London. Before

joining PFL, Joseph worked as a General Manager, Telecoms at Industrial

Promotion Services (IPS) and has held other senior roles at Airtel Africa and

Unilever.

Mr Greg Metro, Managing Director,

Cerberus Frontier

Mr Greg Metro is the Managing Director for Cerberus’ frontier market

investment platform. He joined Cerberus in 2018 when the firm acquired SGI

Frontier Capital to strategically advance its investment activities in emerging

and frontier markets. Mr Metro has more than 15 years of experience in

private equity, investment banking, and strategy and operational consulting.

Mr Metro joined SGI Frontier in 2015 and has previously worked in investing

and consulting roles across Asia and Africa, including JP Morgan Private

Capital Asia, a $750 million private equity fund, where he covered Southeast

Asia and China. He was also a management consultant at Monitor Group,

now Monitor Deloitte, in the Philippines and Indonesia, and co-founded and

sold a venture capital funded financial technology startup.

Mr Metro graduated summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut.

Dr Biju Mohandas,

Partner and Global Co-Leader for Health Investments,

LeapFrog Investments

Dr Biju Mohandas brings to LeapFrog over two decades of investing, operating and

leadership experience spanning 20 countries in Asia and Africa. He joined LeapFrog

after nine years at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) where he led their

Healthcare and Education investment team in Sub Saharan Africa and was the

Global Sector Lead for Medical Devices. He played a pivotal role in deploying over

half a billion dollars in investments across ten countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Dr Mohandas is an avid contributor to the impact investment & start up ecosystem in

emerging markets as an angel investor, advisor, mentor and board member across

several start-ups, accelerators and not for profits operating in the space.

Mountain Dew, Mirinda, Guinness, Tusker, Bell, Pisner, Paramount Cheese,

BIC, Imperial Leather, L'oreal, Kim Fay, GSK , Cussons, Hot Loaf, Windhoek

Lager, Senator, Miadi, Huggies, Lucozade and Linux.

With over two decades of experience in the Great Lakes region, Mr Innocent is

a strong commercial and general business leader.

Mr Patrick Buchana Nsenga, Chief Executive Officer,

AC Group

Patrick is a co-founder and CEO of AC Group, a technology company

providing smart transport solutions in Africa. He sits on the board of directors

of the Rwanda Chamber of Commerce Private Sector Federation and he is the

Chairman of KLab & Fablab, the nation’s biggest innovation lab along several

other boards in various industries. He also sits on the Invest in Africa

Committee tasked with pulling investment to the continent.

Patrick is Harvard educated in Advanced Management and is a recipient of a

number of ICT awards including being named among Forbes under 30that are

shaping the future.

Mr Godfrey Tapela, Senior Investment Officer, Tourism, Retail &

Based in Nairobi, Mr Godfrey Tapela is responsible for investments in commercial

property spanning across affordable housing, retail and tourism sectors. Joined in

2001, he has led the origination, execution and supervision of real sector deals in

several countries across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to IFC, Godfrey worked in South Africa for ABSA in investment banking,

Eskom as a Projects Engineer and for DLV Consulting Engineers as well as in

Zimbabwe for Stewart Scott Consulting Engineers as a Consulting Engineer.

He holds a Master in Business Leadership (MBL) from UNISA, a BSc Electrical

Engineering (Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe, a Graduate Diploma in

Marketing from the Institute of Marketing Management and is a registered

Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa.

Mr David Onyonka, CEO,

TSG Group

David Onyonka is a creative thought leader and the CEO of TSG Group,

whose focus is the development of high-end properties that are designed

in non-traditional ways to fit the growing investment market for property.

His passion for pushing boundaries, has resulted in properties that fit the

lifestyle of globe-trotting and local investors due to their unique designs

and quality finishes. He believes in developing property for the future,

this business mantra is showcased in some of the smart, green

commercial and residential projects that he is currently spear heading in

development.

Mr Rajiv Ruparelia, Managing Director,

Ruparelia Group of Companies

Rajiv is the managing director for Ruparelia Group of Companies. Joined in 2013,

he is a young and fervent entrepreneur with the drive and ambition to push and

steer Ruparelia Group into the next era.

In 2016, Rajiv created over 300 jobs - a feat that spells the many proficiency virtues

he wields. His leaderships stirs expansion in the organisations that he work for.

Rajiv currently oversees a full range of ongoing projects, from luxury property

Kingdom Kampala to upcoming projects such as CMI and Speke Resort Entebbe.

Rajiv has also won multiple awards, notably being named the "Best Entrepreneur to

watch out" in the Indian Business Forum Uganda 2015 and "Best Developer Large

Scale" in the Lamudi Awards.

Mr Geofrey Dimoso, Partner,

ALN Tanzania | A&K Tanzania

Geofrey is a Partner at ALN Tanzania with over fifteen years of experience in private

practice having headed legal departments and served as company secretary for

both local and multinational banks in Tanzania. Geofrey served as a member of the

task force that was assigned to review the Tanzanian Land Act, 1999 which led to

the enactment of the Mortgage (Special Provisions) Act, 2008 and the Regulations.

Geofrey is a practicing Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and holds a Master

of Laws degree in Corporate and Commercial Laws and a Bachelor of Laws degree

from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is a certified director by the

Commonwealth Centre for Corporate Governance (Kenya) and the Institute of

Directors Tanzania.

Ms Sakina Hassanali, Head of Development Consulting and

Research, HassConsult

Sakina is an economist with more than seven years of real estate experience in

property development and research. Holding a BSc in Economics and Management

Studies from Cardiff University as well as an MBA from the United States

International University, she pioneered the release of East Africa’s first property

price index, the Hass Property Index and HassConsult’s own research division.

A recipient of the KPMG Business Daily’s Top 40 Women Under 40 award, Sakina is

also an advisor to Kenya’s top property development firms and global financial

institutions looking for market driven data to drive decision making and policy.
