This Week’s Thought

The most important question about God is not where God is in the midst of the Tragedy, but how he is present. The English spiritual writer Edwina Gateley suggests the following in her 2009 memoir.

Let your God Love You Be silent. Be still. Alone. Empty Before your God Say nothing. Ask nothing. Be silent. Be still. Let your God Look upon you. That is all. God knows. God understands. God loves you With an enormous love, And only wants To look upon you With that love. Quiet. Still. Be.

Let your God - Love you. - Edwina Gateley, From In God’s Womb

This week dwell in the mystery of being loved by God just for being who you are. L’Shalom - in peace, Fr. Andrew

Public Masses

5pm Saturday; 9am & 11:15am Sunday

The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass is still in effect. Please stay home if you have symptoms of COVID-19, don’t feel well, or are in a high risk group.

The church will be limited to 40% capacity (approximately 125 people), and is being sanitized before every Mass.

Masks and hand sanitization (are required) masks and hand sanitizer will be available).

Please enter through the front church doors only, and leave by closest exit immediately after Mass, but still maintaining social distance.

While in your pew - only sit and stand (no kneeling).

There will be no communal singing, no offertory (a basket will be available for your donations), no sign of peace.

Please follow the directions of the ushers during the distribution of the Eucharist, to maintain social distance.

Only the Body will be offered during Communion (not the Cup).

During Communion, step aside after receiving the Eucharist, lift mask to consume the Body of Christ, lower mask, and return to your pew by side aisles.

If you need special assistance, please contact an usher at church, or email [email protected] ahead of time. Note that ramp is being used as an exit, so an usher would need to help you enter there, if needed.

NEW THIS WEEKEND: If your elementary school age (or younger) children to use the bathroom, please accompany them for sanitization (and safety!).

Thank you

If you know someone who does not have Internet access and would like to have a bulletin mailed to them,

please have them call the office at 868-2666. We’d be happy to mail them one!

Feast of St. Thomas More June 22, 2020

Dear scholar and martyr, it was not the king of England but you who were the true defender of

the faith. Like Christ unjustly condemned, neither promises nor threats could make you accept a

civil ruler as head of the Christian Church. Perfect in your honesty and love of truth, grant that

lawyers and judges may imitate you and achieve true justice for all people.
