DEAR FRIENDS,Nautic – Paris Boat Show is changing, renewing itself and continuing to develop.

Its dynamism is first and foremost a reflection of the good health of the French boating industry, which two years ago regained its highest pre-crisis level and continues to move forward. It is strengthening its position in key niches of excellence – as worldwide leader in monohull and multihull sailboats and European leader in outboard motorboats – and growing stronger in other sectors.

It has achieved its success thanks to a high level of technical, functional and creative innovation that it maintains as a result of the quality of its partners and suppliers. The Paris Boat Show is and must continue to be - to an even greater extent - the exhibition where innovations that define the future of boating are presented and assessed, providing a space for architects, designers, equipment suppliers and service companies who all share this innovative and enterprising spirit.

“The dynamism of the Boat Show is also a reflection of the passion of the numerous yachting enthusiasts in France: there are more than one million boats registered and more than four million regular participants.”

For two years, the Boat Show has been working to ensure that this committed community is joined by new generations discovering boating. To this end, it welcomes new practices, new equipment and financial stakeholders who are developing the collaborative and sharing economy. As well as a place for enthusiasts, the Boat Show must also be the place for discoveries and new experiences.

Visiting the Boat Show means participating in this great adventure and also contributing to what makes it so brilliant.

REDWOOD PADDLEPADDLEBOARD MANUFACTURERChristian Defrance | Founder

This year the Paris show’s going to be at the heart of our annual range presentation; it’s a great place to unveil our new

boards, as well as presenting our Electric Foil, the new brand we’ve developed with PWRFoil.

The show allows us to meet everyone from the clubs, to professionals and the press and of course

new potential customers. Getting feedback on our products from users makes it an important show and a nice place to do business.

X-YACHTSSAILBOAT BUILDERJean Luc Chalant | X-Yachts Dealer | France

The French sailing market is dominated by the world’s leading French manufacturers. For an importer of high-

end sailboats, existing in this market requires visibility, not to mention a revered reputation. Its direct commercial

impact may be limited for us, but with so many French visitors and such large media coverage, it’s imperative the X-Yachts brand is here.

VOLVO CARSCAR MANUFACTURERYves Pasquier-Desvignes | CEO/PresidentVolvo Cars France

At Volvo Cars we’re committed to minimizing our global environmental footprint – we’ve announced a number of

measures, such as integrating at least 25% recycled plastic into each new Volvo

and increasing to 50% of our global sales of 100% electric vehicles by 2025. With Volvo Cars’ commitment to sustainable development and the world of sailing, Volvo Car France has naturally become the official partner of the Nautic providing a fleet of vehicles to ensure the transfer of VIPs and guests.

WETTONCRAFT RIB MANUFACTURER

Eric Divry | CEO/Founder

We exhibited our very first model - the Wetton 56 Slipway - at the end of last year. The boat has its own integrated landing gear, so becomes its own trailer when ashore. The feature’s already proving

a major hit and was singled out as one of the innovations of the year at the 2018 Nautic. We presented a pre-series model there and

displayed what the final version of the boat would be as a hologram! The Nautic’s been hugely beneficial to us: we had a number of requests for tests and reservations last year, not to mention excellent meetings with other boating professionals. It also generated a lot of press coverage and was the perfect place to meet enthusiasts, which is really important in helping to refine our products.

FENWICKIMPORTER AND DISTRIBUTOR OF MARINE PROPULSION ENGINES AND ACCESSORIES SINCE 1949Jean Baptiste Vene | Director General

Nautic enables Fenwick to maintain its close contact with both trade customers and the general public, those people that are passionate about the sea – it’s especially important at this time of year, when we’re preparing for the new boating season. We’ll be exhibiting the brands and technologies we represent – Tohatsu (gasoline outboard), Solé Diesel (inboard diesel), Aquamot (outboard and inboard electric), Cox Powertrain (diesel outboard), Nakashima and SPW (propellers).

FRANCE CATAMARANIMPORTER OF SPORT SAILING BOATS AND NEW FOILERSThierry Wibaux | President

France Catamaran has exhibited at Nautic for 51 years in a row! Things have changed a lot in that time, but the show remains essential. How important is Nautic for our business? Back in 1996 something like 75% of our annual new boat sales were taken at Salon Nautique. Today, it’s unlikely we’ll sell directly at the show; buying habits have changed over the years – purchases take longer and often go through agents – but it’s just as essential to be part of the show as a branding exercise, to remind people that we exist and to show off our products and the sport of sailing. It’s about letting people see and realise the dream; that’s critical to the future of our beautiful sport.

AMIES DES GRANDS VOILIERSSAIL TRAINING ASSOCIATION FRANCEMichel Balique | President

For the Sail Training Association France, the Nautic is the primary show. Our association is composed of several hundred members spread all over France. It’s a great opportunity for us to meet the management teams and talk to them face to face about their plans and aspirations. It also provides the perfect opportunity to meet in one place over a short period of time, the important players in our field, and of course to raise our profile among the general public.

GLOBE SAILORYACHT CHARTER OPERATOROlivier Albahary | CEO

Nautic de Paris provides a unique opportunity to meet not only our

customers, but also our partners and boat owners from all over the world. As

well as enabling us to promote our brand and services, the show allows us to better understand market developments and cruising trends so that we can adapt our commercial strategy in the medium and long term. We are currently witnessing a real democratization of the nautical market, with new boats and services being launched at a rate unheard of before. It’s exciting to be confronted for 10 days with all the new developments and new challenges!

DREAM YACHT CHARTERYACHT CHARTER OPERATORSebastian Hirst | Sales Manager Europe

We make it our mission to organize dream holidays for our customers and

hundreds will book directly through our team at the show. In a world that gives more

and more priority to the virtual, Nautic represents a golden opportunity to spend quality face-to-face time with customers – that’s why it’s a key event in our calendar.

GROUPE BENETEAUSAIL AND MOTORBOAT BUILDER

Luca Brancaleone | Sales Director

It’s imperative that Beneteau has a major presence at the Nautic show. Our French, and a good part of our European

network, converge in Paris in December to discover what we’ll be unveiling at the

show. Economically speaking it’s vital for us – our business will achieve almost 30% of its turnover from the French internal market during the event. Our dealer network finalizes a large part of their business at the Nautic - for some it represents up to 60% of their total business. The Nautic is also a time to share with the industry, to approach the general public and boost the boating industry by attracting new customers. The spirit of our brand, to make accessible the inaccessible, can express itself fully at this show within the framework of a magnificent city like Paris.
