HISTORYOFTHECLUBEstablishedin1952,Kalamunda&DistrictsJuniorFootballClub(KDJFC)offersprogramsandteamsforallagesintheKalamundaarea,startingfromtheageof5yearsoldinAuskickrightthroughtoYear12AFLcompetition.

KDJFCwaspreviouslyknownasKalamundaJuniorFootballClubuntil1990whenitformallychangedtoKalamunda&DistrictsJuniorFootballClub.

In2016,theclubhadover500activeplayerswhoresidedinKalamundaandsurroundingdistrictsincludingHighWycombe,MaidaVale,Forrestfield,PickeringBrook,GooseberryHill,LesmurdieandWattleGrovetonameafew.Auskickhad166enrolmentswiththeplayersrangingfrom5to7yearolds,whilstthe16juniorandyouthteamstotalapproximately345playersrangingfrom8to17yearsofage.

KDJFChasenjoyedmanysuccesseswithteamscompetinginfinalsseriesandwinningnumerouspremierships.Ourmostrecentsuccesseshavebeen:

JuniorRulesareasetofmodifiedruleswhichapplytokidsinYears3toYears6(ages8-11).Theemphasisforthesegroupsisonfunandparticipationbyall.ThecompetitionisprimarilyagainstotherteamsintheSwansDistrict.

YouthCompetition

OurYouthteamsarecateredforkidsinYears7toYears12(ages12-18).

ChildrenparticipatingintheyouthcompetitionareplayingfullAFLRules,playingforcompetitionpointsandpossiblyforaPremiership.

YouthcompetitionwillcovernotonlyagainstotherteamsintheSwansDistrictbutalsointheCentralConferencearea(PerthDistrictandEastPerthDistrict).

Ifyouarecelebratingamilestonetherearebannersupplieslocatedintheclubroomstomakeyourownmilestonebanner.Shouldthesuppliesbelow,pleaseadviseoneofourcommitteememberstothatsuppliescanbereplenished.

TEAMMANAGERS/PARENTSANDVOLUNTEERSTheteammanagerwithinateamplaysaveryimportantrole–thisiscommonlyaparentwhotakesontheserolesandisencouragedthatallotherswithintheteamoffertheirsupporttothesevolunteersthroughouttheseason.

CANTEENEachteamthatplaysathomeisrequiredtoprovidevolunteersinthecanteenthroughteamrosters.

OurCanteenisanextremelyimportantelementofKDJFCasitprovidesoneofourmajorrevenuesfortheclub.Itsprimaryobjectiveistoprovideanappropriatecanteenserviceatallhomegamesandwiththeassistanceofourcanteenvolunteersandhelpersithelpstoprovidethisservice.

TheCanteenwasamajorareaofimprovementinthelasttwelvemonthsandhasincludedanupgradetoourchipfryermachines.2017willseeareviewandupgradetoourcanteenmenu.

WORKINGWITHCHILDRENLEGISLATIONKDJFChasaresponsibilitytoprovideasafeenvironmentforallparticipants.

Recentlegislationrequiresthatallpeopleinclubsandorganizationwhocomeintocontactwithchildrenundertheageof18yearsmustundergoacheckandbeapprovedtoholdhisorherpositionintheorganization.

Asallourplayersareundertheageof18obviouslythislegislationgreatlyaffectsourclub.

LifePlayerMembershipisawardedtoplayerswhoplaycontinuouslyfortheClubstartinganywherefromAuskickthroughtoYear12s.Thiswouldnormallyconsistof9yearsofplayingfootballatKDJFCbyaplayer,dependingonwhentheycommenced.

LifePlayersreceiveaLifePlayerMembershirt.

KDJFCLifePlayerEligibility:• TheplayerwillhaveplayedallhisjuniorfootballatKDJFCtobeeligible.• Theplayerwillhaveplayedaminimumof9/10seasonsofjuniorfootballatKDJFC.
