2013 MFMER | slide-#The CRU has facilities at St. Marys & Methodist, o hospitals, plus mobile staff and a unique research vehicle. Office for Community Engaged Research provides support to investigators conducting clinical research in and with multicultural communities. The Consultative, Regulatory, and Informatics Services Unit provides a variety of resources to all Mayo investigators including bioinformatics, epidemiology, statistics, REDCap data management, research ethics, volunteer recruitment services and others. Her most recent research has focused on identifying the risk factors and causes of heart disease in people with rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Glenn Smith, Associate Director for CTSA Education Resources and Director of Postdoc Programs, is Professor of Psychology and co-investigator in Mayo Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and in the Centers for Research in ECT (CORE). His research interests include early diagnosis of dementia, dementia outcomes, successful cognitive aging, and depression and behavioral disturbance in the dementias. Dr. Huskins, Associate Director of Postdoc Programs, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics whose primary research interest is in the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections, particularly those caused by antimicrobial resistant bacteria.
