• Students copy objectives, homework and announcements every day in their planners.
• Parents/Guardians need to sign daily.
• The planner is the main form of communication from the classroom to home and vice versa.
• The front of the planner has essential information regarding attendance, dress code, as well as other school policies.
• Student codes for websites will be placed in planners.
• Each student needs a 1-2inch binder to put their planner in.
• Practice spelling/vocabulary and read AR every night.
• Homework assignments are due the following day. In order to attend “Fun Friday” (educational games during a small part of our day) students must turn in their homework all week.
• Graded homework, tests, other assignments will come home on Fridays OR Mondays in a red “Take Home” folder. Please return to school the next day.

• Charges: students may only charge twice.
• If there is a two day balance, students will receive a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and milk.

Social Studies integrated with Reading.
• STAR test is given to determine level. Levels are different from JBE.
• Students must maintain an 85 average to earn points.
• Students must test on more than .5 point books and make 100’s in order to move up a level.
• Rewards for AR are given at the end of the 9 weeks at Honor Roll Assemblies.
• Fiction books can’t be used while testing. Non-fiction can be used, but still must be read
thoroughly prior to testing.
