What’s available at the middle school?

Extra help - offered Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-3:30. A late bus is also available.

Scheduled Meetings – teachers meet in a group with individual students, parents, and school counselors.

Support Services – Weekly progress monitoring, group counseling sessions, quarterly follow-up, and individual meetings.

After School Activities – Students choose from an array of after school clubs and activities, including interscholastic sports.

Scheduling process for grade 6

December – A letter will be sent from the middle school principal, Mr. Amato to the 6th grade parents, requesting the selection of language.

February – Course placements for grade 7 will be entered into our data management program so that staffing decisions can begin.

June/July - Final determination will be made regarding course placements.

Planning for the future……………….(college and career readiness)

Students registered in accelerated courses earn credits towards their high school diploma. Courses are also listed on the high school transcript.

Dual Language Students continue in their language throughout high school. Course credit from grade 6 (following the Checkpoint B exam) will appear on student transcripts.

Career Exploration programs are provided in grade 7 through our Naviance platform.
