More changes for ALL other licensure candidates• Per Session Law 2013-360, the NC General Assembly mandated that the SBE shall require applicants for initial bachelors or graduate degree teaching licenses to achieve a prescribed minimum score on standardized assessments. Campbell University Teacher Education Requirement
•ALL teacher education candidates, regardless of degree program, are required to take all required licensure exams prior to graduation from Campbell University.

•Something to Think About….• Elementary/SPED teacher candidates must pass all three PEARSON exams (Gen Curr; Math Subtest; NC Reading Foundations) BEFORE they can receive NC Licensure.• Additionally, SPED teacher candidates must pass SPED PRAXIS II exams (5543). •Options for Candidates failing the exams:(See Handout: Meeting the New NC Teacher Licensure Requirements)
