Teams

Five 6th grade teams—Students will find out what team they have been assigned to at registration when they get their schedule.

Teams consist of teachers who share a common group of students.

Team classes and lockers will be in the same hallway.

Team teachers and team leaders are the first line of communication for parents.

Expectations & Daily Routine

Dress with dress code expectations in mind.

Arrive to school on time—bus riders will be dismissed from bus at 7:20 AM; car riders can be dropped off at doors 1 or 3 between 7:00-7:30 AM.

Dismissal is 2:35 PM—car riders are picked up at doors 1 & 3; walkers use 5 & 12; bus riders exit door 7.

Extracurricular activities usually meet right after school; some meet later in the afternoon. Parent pick-up is at door 7 for clubs and door 12 for athletics.

Daily Routine

Expect 60 minutes per day. More Subjects

– English/Language Arts– Math– Science/Social Studies– Related Arts

More Teachers– 2 or 3 for core classes– 2 for related Arts– Student Enrichment and

Extension of Knowledge (SEEK)

Athletic RequirementsCompleted IHSAA physical examination form

signed by a licensed physician. Participate in the random drug testing program.

Complete and submit all Student-Athlete Handbook forms online.

Pay the Program Support Fee of $50.

Remain academically eligible.

Information that needs to be NEW each school year: – All students that need to receive a

prescription medication at school will need a NEW Physician Order and a NEW Hold Harmless form every school year.

– All students with asthma and food allergies need an asthma/allergy action plan.

– All medical histories and over the counter medication permission must be completed at www.caredox.com

– Please make sure ALL new required immunization have been received.
