FLYING IN/OUT• The easiest way to enter / leave Torres del Paine is through Punta Arenas (PUQ, Chile) or El Calafate (FTE, Argentina). Both cities have domestic airports receiving flights from Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires respectively.
• International flights from North America and Europe will most likely arrive / depart Santiago or Buenos Aires in the early morning or late evening. The safest and most comfortable connection is a morning flight to Punta Arenas the day after arriving in Chile, and evening departure to your home country leaving the day after your return flight from Punta Arenas.
OVERLAND TRANSPORT• In Torres del Paine and throughout Patagonia, transport is in minivans that normally seat between 8 and 14 people, with luggage stored in a pull-cart. Journeys with 3 clients or less use 5-seater pickup trucks. Private departures with 6 guests or less use smaller minivans. None of these vehicles have onboard toilets.
• We strongly ask our guests to book our regular daily shuttles to and from Punta Arenas / Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine / EcoCamp, so as to minimize the use of vehicles and fuel on these long journeys.
