Welcome to Kansai Event “Sports & Sightseeing”

-Showcasing sports events and sightseeing destinations in the Kansai Region to travelers from

overseas arriving at KIX!-

The Kansai Region, where Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe are located, is a popular tourist destination,

where people can enjoy all kinds of sports throughout the year. The Kansai International Tourism

Year Management Committee of the Union of Kansai Governments will be organizing an event on

Friday 25th and Saturday 26th March to introduce sports and sightseeing spots that people can

enjoy in the Kansai Region. Visitors can also get free souvenirs at the event. We very much hope

to see you at the event!

○Date and time: Friday 25th and Saturday 26th March, 2016 10:00-16:00

○Location: The event space in front of the Kansai Tourist Information Center Kansai Airport

on the 1st floor of Terminal 1 at Kansai International Airport

○Name: Kansai International Tourism Year – Promotional Event

Welcome to KANSAI! “Sports & Sightseeing”

○ The event includes the following:

• Soccer shootout game and virtual bicycle race game

(Each day, the first 100 visitors will get free souvenirs.)

• Video display and distribution of tourist information leaflets featuring sports and sightseeing

in the Kansai Region

• Each day, the first 100 visitors will get free souvenirs by answering questionnaires.

• Adorable local sport mascot characters will be welcoming visitors at a welcome event starting

at 10:00am for one hour each day.

(J.League soccer mascot characters will be present in either one of these two days.)
