Configuring Your New ASUS DSL-N16 Router
1Open your browser and navigate to ‘192.168.1.1’. Your default login credentials are:
Username: adminPassword: admin
2Click Skip Setup Wizard in the top left. If you are prompted to
set the security settings, click ‘OK’, then ’Next’ until greeted
with the dashboard.

3Enter your desired wireless network name and password – make sure it’s memorable! Click ‘Apply’ and allow the router to restart.
4Go to ‘WAN’ from the left menu, then change Transfer Mode to ‘VDSL’. Under Basic Config,
change WAN Connection Type to ‘PPPoE’.

5Enable 802 1Q, change the VLAN ID to ‘101’ and change 802 1P to ‘7’.
6Under IP Universal Settings, change MTU to ‘1480’.

7Under PPP Settings, enter the username and password on your router sticker, then change TCP MSS to ‘1440’. Click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page.
