Has your address cHanged? Please don’t forget to submit any ADDRESS CHANGES to the Parish Office. Our returned mail is constant and the cost of address verification has increased. If after several attempts, we have been unable to update the address, the membership will be inactivated. Thank you!

Holy waterMany times people come to church looking for holy water to take back to their home. This is a beautiful practice. Rather than filling the con-tainers from the baptismal font please note that there is a silver container in the nar-thex with a spout that makes it easier to fill containers. We encourage you to use this source. Thank you!

¡Gracias!

The aftermath of flooding will continue to have further impact on these regions as well.

Sponsor-A-Youth! This year the cost for DCYC has increased. Many students would like the opportunity to participate but their families struggle financially. DCYC gives our youth an opportunity to learn about and grow in the Catholic faith with over 2000 youth throughout the diocese. Youth will participate in adoration, reconciliation, work-shops and mass with the Bishop. Their relationship with Christ will be strengthen and they will return to our parish filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit! This year’s DCYC theme is based on St. Augustine of Hippo, doctor of the Church. St. Augustine teaches us about the power of conversion, forgiveness, and God’s love. “For you have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.” Please keep our youth, our ministry team and our volunteers in your prayers as we plan and prepare for this year’s DCYC and please prayerfully consider sponsoring a youth this year. If you are interested in sponsoring a youth or making a partial donation or have questions, please contact the Religious Education & Youth Ministry Office at 512-312-2520.

SANTA CRUZ CATHOLIC SCHOOL/ESCUELA CATOLICA

News from the Principal’s DeskBeginning on the last Sunday in January, Santa Cruz Catholic

School will be celebrating the 42nd anniversary of National Catholic Schools Week. Starting with a School Mass on Sunday, January 31st at 11:00 a.m., we have a whole week of activities planned to demonstrate what our students are accomplishing and to celebrate the community we’ve built to educate tomorrow’s citizens and church leaders. This year’s National Catholic Schools Week theme is based on community: “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.” The theme highlights the fact that, not only are schools’ communities themselves, they are also part of many other communities, includ-ing families, parishes, cities and our country. Each day of the week we will celebrate a different facet of our school community: Super Student Day, Donuts with Dads, Muffins with Moms, Goodies with Grandparents, Great Times in America’s History and Family Potluck Dinner. It will be a fun-filled week!.

Have a blessed week,Mrs. Flanagan

Non-Discrimination Policy: Schools within the Diocese of Austin do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in: (i) the admission of students; (ii) the offerings of rights, privileges, programs, or activities generally made available to their students; or (iii) the administra-tion of educational policies, admissions policies, loan programs, athletic programs, employment practices or policies, or other school-administered programs.
