A-Level• ‘A’ (Advanced) level qualifications focus on

traditional study skills.

• Two years to complete full-time.

• Wide range of academic subjects as well as some ‘applied’ (work-related) subjects.

• Main route into higher education but are also useful if you want to go straight into a job.

• Employed in a real paid job and receive quality training leading to a nationally-recognised qualification.

• A wide range of employment sectors e.g. accountancy and business administration, construction, engineering and manufacturing.

• Generally between one and four years to complete. • You need to be over 16 to do an Apprenticeship.• Entry requirements depend on the Apprenticeship.

(6 weeks to 6 months)

If you're not quite ready for an Apprenticeship, on a Traineeship you can improve your maths, English and work skills whilst getting work experience too.
