WELCOME TO OUR MARKETCONNECT WEBSITE We recognize that easy, efficient, online access to investment accounts is a growing priority for our clients. We are continuously improving our online platform and offerings to make your accounts more easily accessible. To assist you in using our secure website, we have prepared this user guide. It provides instructions on how to navigate the website and customize your pages. If, at anytime you need any assistance in regards to our website, please contact a Client Service Representative at (800)453-7348, option 3. WELCOME TO OUR MARKETCONNECT WEBSITE We recognize that easy, efficient, online access to investment accounts is a growing priority for our clients. We are continuously improving our online platform and offerings to make your accounts more easily accessible. To assist you in using our secure website, we have prepared this user guide. It provides instructions on how to navigate the website and customize your pages. THE FIRST TIME YOU LOG IN Before you are granted access to your Marketconnect online account, you will be required to enter a new password and three security questions. Next, please complete the Exchange Agreement and Online Access Agreement. Once you complete these steps, click on the “Continue” button, located at the bottom of the page. By clicking this button, you will be redirected to the Dashboard section of our website.

DASHBOARD PAGE

The Dashboard is the default landing page. It provides a customized view of your account information and market data.

If you prefer to have a different landing page (e.g. Current Holdings, Activity and etc.), please click on the “My Profile” tab, choose “Site Settings”, and change your landing page using the dropdown box. Then, click “Update” to save these settings. Upon your next log in, your new landing page will be displayed.

PAGE OPTIONS The following icons are located throughout the website to assist you in finding important information:

HELP – This icon displays help for each page. Included in the help information is a description of the page, definitions for various fields and columns, instructions on navigating the page, and frequently asked questions. Click on any topic to expand the section.

FEEDBACK - The “Feedback” icon allows you to send comments to our technical help desk and/or a BB&T IS Client Service Representative. Use the dropdown box to select the appropriate category, type your message in the box below and click the “Submit Feedback” button. The message will be routed to the responsible party. If your feedback prompts a response, you will receive a notification via email, the messaging tool or a call from a Client Service Representative. Please indicate your preferred contact method. For immediate assistance, please contact us by phone at (800)453-7348, Option 3.

REFRESH - The “Refresh” button updates the current page with the most recent information. Click this icon to view recent activity or changes in market values.

DOWNLOAD - Once you have the required software installed on your computer, click this icon to download your account information into Excel, MS Money, or Quicken.

PRINT- To print a page, click on the printer icon. After printing, click in the upper left corner to return to the previous page.

HOW TO CONTACT YOUR INVESTMENT COUNSELOR To find your Investment Counselor’s contact information, simply click on your Investment Counselor’s name. A box will appear with the BB&T Investment Services contact information. To make an appointment with an Investment Counselor or for general questions, please contact us at (800) 453-7348.

LOGGING OFF THE WEBSITE You can log off the website by clicking the “Logout” link in the upper right corner of any page.

NAVIGATING THE SITE

From the Dashboard:

Click on the name of a view in the Dashboard (for example – Top 10 Holdings) to be redirected to the corresponding page.

Click on any of the account numbers in your Dashboard for more detailed account information. For example, clicking on your IRA account number under the Holdings view brings up only your IRA account holdings.

Using Menu Items:

Click on any of the five menu items (e.g. Account Information, Trading, Quotes & Research, My Profile or Support) for access to the following sub-tabs:

Account Information - displays account related data including:

Balances, Holdings, Realized Gain/Loss, Activity, Earned Income, Estimate Monthly Income, Asset Allocation, Industry Allocation, Downloads, Statements, Trade Confirmations and Tax Documents

Trading - allows you to enter Equity & ETF orders, Mutual Fund orders and Option orders (if applicable). The Order Status screen displays the status of orders (e.g. Pending, Rejected or Executed).

Quotes & Research – provides access to the following:

Quotes (e.g. Delayed/Real-Time), Watch Lists (e.g. Delayed/Real-Time), Options Chains (e.g. Delayed/Real-Time), Research, Headlines and a Glossary

My Profile - controls the settings of your account including:

Site Settings, Account Settings, Document Delivery and Message Center

Support – offers additional features such as:

What’s New, Site Map, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Help, Disclosures and a Forms Repository

CHANGING HOW ACCOUNTS ARE DISPLAYED THROUGHOUT THE SITE Use nicknames, instead of your account number(s), to easily identify accounts (e.g. “My IRA Account” or “Our Joint Account”). To add a nickname, click on the “My Profile” tab. Choose “Account Settings”, type the desired nickname and click “Update”.

To ensure that each nickname is saved, please complete each field individually and use the corresponding “Update” button.

ADDING OR REMOVING ACCOUNTS FROM A PAGE To add or remove accounts from a page, click on the “Edit” icon. Then, select the desired accounts and click “Update” to save the changes.

ADDING OR REMOVING COLUMNS FROM A PAGE

The Current Holdings, Realized Gains/Losses, and Activity pages offer customizable columns. Clicking the “Columns” link on the right side of the page will display the available columns. Check the “Visible” box beside the column name to include this column. Use the green arrows to sort and rearrange the columns. The “Reset” link will restore the default view.

ADDING OR REMOVING FILTERS FROM A PAGE To add a filter to the Current Holdings, Realized Gains/Losses or Activity pages, click on a column heading from within the page. For example, if you choose the “Account Type” column, the available filters are Cash or Margin. In the display below, only cash account types are included.

To remove all filters, click the “Filters” link on the right side of the screen. In the pop-up box, click “Clear All Filters”. To clear individual filters, click the red “X” next to the appropriate filter.

FINDING ADDITIONAL MARKET DATA ON A SECURITY Securities' symbols are underlined which indicates that they are a hyperlink that may be used to move directly to the information regarding the security. By clicking “Details”, you will be directed to the Research page on the “Quotes & Research” tab enabling you to access company profiles, news and more. By clicking “Quote”, you will be directed to the “Quote page” where you may view a delayed quote for the security you selected.

Details redirects to the Research page which includes Stock Summary, Market News, Stock vs. Peers and more.

Quote offers a 20 minute delayed quote for the security selected. Buy/Sell automatically

populates the online trading platform with the selected security.

MARKETCONNECT PAGES This section provides page-by-page details of the Marketconnect website.

ACCOUNT INFORMATION TAB

DASHBOARD The Dashboard allows you to create a customized view of your account information and/or market data. For increased customization, you can create up to 15 individual dashboards with each containing up to 15 different views.

BALANCES The Balances page illustrates the balance information for a single account, custom groupings, or your entire household.

CURRENT HOLDINGS The Current Holdings page allows you to monitor portfolio performance, including detailed position information, for the securities in your account(s). Click the available options (e.g. Details, Buy/Sell or Quote) for more information on a symbol. You can research information on securities across several categories including unrealized gains/losses, etc.

REALIZED GAINS/LOSSES The Realized Gains/Losses page summarizes the gains and losses for security transactions for the current tax year, as well as the two previous years. Additional realized gains/losses history is available by using the Microsoft Excel download feature. Click the available options (e.g. Details, Buy/Sell or Quote) for more information on a symbol.

ACTIVITY The Activity page allows you to view your transaction activity for the past six months in a single account, a custom grouping, or your entire household. Additional activity history is available by using the Microsoft Excel download feature. Click the available options (e.g. Details, Buy/Sell or Quote) for more information on a symbol.

EARNED INCOME The Earned Income page displays the previous month and year-to-date earned income for a single account, custom grouping, or your entire household. Income is updated on a monthly basis and includes Taxable, Non-Taxable, Expenses and Gross Proceeds.

ESTIMATED MONTHLY INCOME This page provides estimated monthly income for securities that pay dividends or interest. Income is estimated forward 12 months, including the current month. Estimated monthly income is arranged in chronological order and is displayed in both a graph and list form. Income values are updated daily. Click the available options (e.g. Details, Buy/Sell or Quote) for more information on a symbol.

ASSET ALLOCATION

The Asset Allocation page allows you to view the allocation of the account(s) by security type (cash/money market, equities, bonds, etc.). Your asset allocation is displayed in a 3-D pie chart and lists the dollar amount and percentage for each security type.

INDUSTRY ALLOCATION The Industry Allocations page allows you to view the equity asset allocation of the selected accounts by industry group. Your asset allocation is displayed in a 3-D pie chart and lists the dollar amounts and percentages for each security type. Click the available options (e.g. Details, Buy/Sell or Quote) for more information on a symbol.

DOWNLOADS The Downloads page allows you to download your account information (e.g. Activity, Current Holdings, and Realized Gain/Loss) into a personal finance application or Microsoft Excel.

E-DOCS (ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS) Electronic Documents (e.g. e-Docs) is a collection of electronic account documents. Once enrolled in e-Docs, you will no longer receive paper documents. Email notifications are sent when your account documentation is available. After receiving a notification, you can log into your Marketconnect account to view, save or print these documents. Documents include Account Statements, Trade Confirmations, and Tax Documents.

Please note: If you are currently enrolled in e-delivery and would like to return to receiving paper statements & confirmations, please contact a BB&T Client Service Representative at (800)453-7348, option 3.

ACCOUNT STATEMENTS Account(s) statements accumulate for a rolling period of three years. They can be sorted by account, month and year. All monthly account statements are available online once the month-end processing is complete.

TRADE CONFIRMATIONS Your trade confirmations accumulate for a rolling period of 18 months. You can search by typing a date range into the search box. All trade confirmations will be available midday, the day after trade date.

TAX DOCUMENTS Your original and corrected tax documents will be available from February of the current year. They will accumulate for a rolling period of three years. Once enough documents have accumulated, you can search for documents by tax year.

TRADING TAB

EQUITIES & ETFs If your account is setup for online trading, this page allows you to buy and sell securities.

On this page, the following actions are available:

Symbol Lookup - Search for securities that you wish to buy or sell.

Action - Specify the appropriate action (e.g. buy or sell).

Quantity - Choose the amount to buy or sell.

Order Type - Select the equity order type (e.g. Market, Limit or Stop Loss).

Time In Force - Apply any special instructions indicating an expiration time (e.g. Day Order, Good till cancelled).

Qualifiers - Set a condition (e.g. All or None).

Account Type - Choose the account type (e.g. cash or margin).

Abandon or Verify Order - After entering the order information, choose Abandon or Verify Order. To place the order, confirm all data and click “Verify Order”.

OPTION ORDERS If your account is setup for online option trading, this page allows you to trade options. Please note: online option trading is limited and may not be available for all accounts.

Symbol Lookup – Search for option symbols by entering the required data (e.g. underlying symbol, call/put, expiration month, strike price, and year).

Options Chains – Entering an option symbol will direct you to the Option Chain.

Action - Specify the appropriate action (e.g. Buy to Open, Sell to Close, Sell to Open, Sell to Close and Buy to Close).

Contracts - Input the number of contracts for your trade (e.g. 1 contract equal 100 shares of stock).

Order Type - Specify the order type (e.g. Market of Limit).

Time In Force - Apply any special instructions indicating an expiration time (e.g. Day Order, Good till cancelled).

Qualifiers - Set a condition (e.g. All or None).

Account Type – Choose the account type (e.g. cash or margin).

MUTUAL FUND ORDERS This feature allows for the initial purchase, redemption (sell), or Exchange (within the same fund family) of both load and no-load mutual funds. Please note: Trades with breakpoints cannot be entered online. To enter a Rights of Accumulation (ROA), Letter of Intent (LOI) or Net Asset Value (NAV) trade, please call the trading desk at (800)453-7348, Option 2.

Symbol Lookup - Search for mutual fund securities that you wish to buy or sell.

Action - Specify the appropriate action (e.g. purchase, redeem or exchange).

Quantity - Choose the amount in dollars or shares.

Account Type - Choose the account type (e.g. cash or margin).

Order Type - Specify the order type (e.g. initial purchase or additional purchase).

Dividends - Set a condition for your order (e.g. cash or reinvest).

ORDER STATUS The Order Status page allows you to view, modify or cancel your online trades. Please note: It is your responsibility to monitor your account and all open orders. Orders are not executed until they appear in the Order Status or Activity screen as an execution.

HEADLINES The Headlines option allows you to track your portfolio by exploring research and setting alerts. Your portfolios and email alerts are saved and will appear each time you log in.

MY PROFILE

SITE SETTINGS The Site Settings page allows you to maintain the security settings for your online account. You can update the following: Username, Password, Email Address, Security Questions & Answers and your “landing page". The landing page is the first page that appears once you log-in. After making a change, click the update button to save your settings.

ACCOUNT SETTINGS You can use the Account Settings page to nickname your accounts, using either names or numbers. After making a change to one of your accounts, click the corresponding “Update” button to save your settings

DOCUMENT DELIVERY Enroll in e-Docs to receive electronic copies of account statements, trade confirmations, tax documents or shareholder communications. Once enrolled, you will no longer receive paper statements, trade confirmations or shareholder communications in the mail.

Please note: If you are currently enrolled in e-delivery and would like to return to receiving paper statements & confirmations, please contact a BB&T Client Service Representative at (800)453-7348, option 3.

MESSAGE CENTER The Message Center is the hub for communications pertaining to your Marketconnect account. The Messages link in the upper right hand corner notifies you of any new messages. To see a summary of messages, click the “Messages” link. To view the details of the messages, click “View Details”, or navigate to the My Profile tab and click the “Message Center” link.

System Wide Notifications are used to inform Marketconnect users of important information such as outages or changes. These messages cannot be removed by users as they expire and will disappear automatically. Client Messages are specific messages about your account(s) or new products. You may delete these messages as well as mark them as read or unread. To do so, check the box beside the message and select the appropriate action at the top of the Client Messages.

SUPPORT

WHAT’S NEW The What’s New page lists new enhancements and updates made to the website.

FAQs The Frequently Asked Questions page features a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions by online clients. Questions and answers range from basic site help to more in-depth account information, research, and technical questions.
